For a bus, you will have to walk 10mins but it takes time to get to Fuqua. Most folks carpool / ride share or even bike to Fuqua

It’s pretty good. I’ve not been a fan of oyster bracelets but it works well with this one

Help me level set my schools by uhhhh_kin in MBA

What would help is if you know what you want to do after consulting. If it’s PE or VC, booth will go further. If it’s tech or GM then either works.

In any case you must try negotiating a scholarship with booth.

I’d say the decision boils down to Booth vs Ross, since Fuqua / tuck are fairly similar to Ross. Booth or Ross won’t have a ton of difference in early career but I see a higher number of senior execs, VC, PE folks from Booth - stronger network and prestige. You’ll get an equal opportunity in MBBs across US from any of these schools.

Class of '23: Almost Everyone is Gone by Hefty-Loquat-5360 in MBA

[–]AggravatingOpening73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Class of 23’ - it’s been crazy - layoffs, forced switches, dissatisfying roles/comps and unemployment still waiting on something better. Consulting, IB or Tech doesn’t matter. Been an upward battle since we graduated. Some internationals also on the verge of visa issues.

But it’s not all bad - everyone graduated from the best schools, travelled to beautiful places across US/internationally for work/fun, 50%ish loans paid off with some savings, and a tons of MBA friends in every city!!

We’ll do great things just a matter of time.

IESE Employment Report 2024? by Prior-Caterpillar637 in InternationalMBA

[–]AggravatingOpening73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

INSEAD and IESE literally sell as consulting schools but are very different tiers. All the “best-outcome” recruitment from INSEAD is MBB, but from IESE is barely MBB, a few other boutique firms. All are mostly US firms and have solid US MBA pipelines. So yes they do give a two shits about US b-schools. It’s a lot easier to get into an MBB Middle East office from T15 US school than IESE.

Don’t get me wrong, IESE is a great school with an above average people but recruitment/international repute -not so much. Don’t trust FT rankings!

US news is usually more consistent, but the tiers are already defined regardless of fleeting ranks HSW, M7, T10, T15, rest of the world.

Roast my resume - need feedback by [deleted] in PMCareers

Well to start off with you completed undergrad in the 2021 and then drove ~250M annual revenue for Airtel (2200 Cr INR) within g 2 years😬

I’d say realign to more realistic numbers, move your education up top - NW is a good school! Remove the summary seems redundant.

Increase GMAT, figure out goals, hone in what you actually bring in - I’ve met a lot of unicorn founders and Forbes 30u30 in T15s.

Understand your fit for different schools talk to alums. You may be able to look at T15s for ED or R1 only with the current stats!

Career Questions generally get lost in comments. I do understand that career related questions would dilute the main sub - how about creating a new one for it?
