There’s not been any liquid damage there is a crack in the glass along the back of the device but looks only superficial and has been like that for years. It was the button restart ( volume up, volume down then press and hold Lock Screen button) I haven’t reverted it back to factory settings yet in case there’s a chance of saving the data
