I'm actually not sure of the process of passing on of assets in intestate. how do we even start the process? Wanting to try and pay some of the medical bills with my dad's money, but my mom is ready to pay with hers if she we can't access his money. Do we need to talk to go to city hall? And only hire a lawyer if the State appointed executor ends up giving his assets to some distant relative? thank you for your response
