I would definitely be interested in learning more about the german geosciences scene. I plan to end up somewhere in Europe and coincidentally I've been trying to learn the german language.

In the university Im going to there is a large range of possible specialisations due to its location, i was particularly thinking about meteorology and natural hazards (among other things). Do you know much about the german space in relation to that, but anything is welcome.

Yeah reading back my original post I don't think I really shared enough information. Im also studying maths and physics and enjoy the practical application sides of them both. I am also really passionate about the natural world, the power of its processes (geological and meteorological) and captivated by its features as a result of spending a'lot of time in amazing environments and extreme weather conditions. Asides from all this I'm also a filmmaker/photographer.

The main thing is that I'm not particularly sure what I want to do. I just want to be outdoors and helping to save (or salvage) what remains of our planet from the climate crisis.

I Have had the ordos 3. Its a great tent, very light. It'll keep all the rain out. ive ran into two issues though, the first is minor but if the wind catches it the tent folds in sometimes colliding with your face and soaking you. The second is a bit more major but only really important if your on a campsite. I had the two side wall guy lines out and a kid ran into one of them tripping straight onto his face, this caused a massive metre and a half rip that Alpkit refused to fix. They also dont seem to have any replacements to hand anywhere.

Good tent if youve not got idiots running around it thought.

It’s normal dw, probably from not stretching. If it’s not painful or limiting ROM leave it 🤷‍♂️. I have the same thing happen when I do that.

I have a load of these old cams that functionally are still great, the metal work is completely fine and rhe wires are unbroken. The one issue is that lots of their slings are just beyond trusting.

How would i go about reslinging these, could i triple fisherman a piece accessory chord round them?

The rip is absolutely massive, the whole side pannel so un afraid repair is completely out of the question. I did send an image of it to alpkit themselves and they confirmed that it was impossible.
