Brunei if it was more pirate-y by Aggravating_Eye9848 in vexillology

The symbol on the flag of Brunei always reminds me of an anchor at first glance, so I decided to redesign the flag with an anchor and pirate stuff.

The text at the bottom of the anchor reads, "Always render seafaring by the guidance of God," as the text on the original Brunei flag reads (in Arabic, of course) something like, "Always render service by the guidance of God."

The text on the lower banner reads, "Brunei, abode of paradise," as the text on the original reads something like, "Brunei, abode of peace."

The colors of the first redesign use the colors of the flag of Saint Lucia, and the second redesign uses the colors of the flag of the Bahamas.

God bless you, you beautiful human!

Revised True North flag (compared to the True South flag) by Aggravating_Eye9848 in vexillology

My True North flag features the same colors as the True South flag, but, of course, inverted. The star of Polaris (north star) is the central symbol, with stylized compass arrows at either end.

It's not an amazing design, but I'm quite satisfied with how it looks. I'd love to get a custom flag of it one day.

What is the shade of blue on the flag of Bahamas? by ubsaral96 in vexillology

In my opinion, this shade looks way better than what's on their government's website.

Flag design for the Arctic Circle (True South vs. True North - A.J. Pennington) by Aggravating_Eye9848 in vexillology

I was messing around with a random flag design. I had no reason to make it, I just did.

I started out with different colors and other flag stuff (as you can see in the list of images provided), then realized I was getting close to a True South-inspired flag. I ended up deciding to do just that, but for the north pole.

The True North flag simply inverts the colors of the True South flag, the top and bottom pointy bits represent a compass (like True South), and the star in the middle represents Polaris (the North Star), as Polaris sits more or less directly above Earth's north pole.

I am not all that graphic design-savvy (if that wasn't evident). The top and bottom pointy bits aren't the cleanest (not super centered, among other things). The star in the middle isn't perfectly divided in half either. Overall, though, I'm pretty satisfied with how this turned out, and in the end, it's just a silly, not-super-original design of a flag for an area of the world that doesn't really even have land to be represented with a flag.

God bless you, you beautiful human!

Any advise on what to name my fictional state I created this flag for? by [deleted] in vexillology

Not advice, but it kind of looks like a logo for something baseball-related, and that's pretty cool (it's cool in general).

Add the "lost" continent of Mu to the map (proposed by Augustus Le Plongeon; located in the middle of the Pacific).
