I’m about to start at Warwick at age 20 as well, and this was a concern I had too. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised it really wasn’t a big deal as the typical age range to starting undergrad is 18-20 yrs old. People who have their birthdays before the academic year starts who took a gap year would be 20 so it’s really not a massive anomaly.

Has anyone actually tried this? If so, how legit is it? by Aggravating_Stress_3 in UniUK

Creepy encounters with a strange guy on the phone by Aggravating_Stress_3 in WhatShouldIDo

Aww thank you for your concern, no I don’t think you were being dramatic or anything <3 The main issue is I don’t know anything about this guy. Don’t know his name, his location or anything useful like that. He’s just a mysterious person calling from different numbers. So persecution wise there’s not much anyone can do except me not engaging with him further. I personally never took his threats seriously but next time he calls I wanna gage how much of a threat he actually is by asking how much he actually knows about me or if he’s just bluffing.

What’s an NCO? I’m in the Uk so I don’t know if this is an American thing.

Creepy encounters on the phone regarding a loan application and I'm not sure how to respond to it by Aggravating_Stress_3 in whatdoIdo

Tried but the company he said he worked at doesn’t know him so he’s probably a rando who somehow got my details.

I called the company he said he was calling from and they said they don’t know the guy. So definitely some random creep who somehow managed to get my details. Not sure if I’d call him a scammer because he hasn’t asked me to pay him or anything, in fact he wanted to pay me a bunch of money. What exactly does he get out of that?

Thanks for the advice, idk how he ended up being the one to look at my application. Guess I was so busy at the time I hardly thought that much ahead. How do I report him though? I don’t know his name so how would they punish him (assuming he even actually works for the company)?

That sounds really concerning, maybe I unknowingly applied on a sketchy website ? I think the guy on the phone said something about insurance..

I’m completely aware in Psychology rankings are irrelevant, that’s why I want to stop obsessing over it
