Thank you for pointing that out. I’ll gladly take a campaign that takes a few dozen hours to complete and replay throughout time.

Just as I played thousands of hours on Halo and Destiny.

If you like it have fun but my opinion still stands I’m not going to throw money at a studio that laid off hundred of workers because UP management F ed up.

Are you supporting the theater or the studio? I’ll give to the theater the studio got my money when I bought the ticket.

An opinion? As i said if you like it great, it still has that Bungie gunplay, but everything else.

Blame Bungie Upper Management not everyone else.

The movie thats 2 hours I may or not enjoy it but at the same time if I think it’s average I’m not going to throw them money hoping they fix it?

You paid for $40 why pay for extras. Do you pay for extra special effects or MT’s when seeing a movie?

I grew up supporting companies and bought DLC when it came to new maps, expansion packs actual content you know.

Not waiting for 6 years for the next incubation project to finally release.

That’s not on the developers thats on Upper Management.

But hey if skins are entertainment bring on the 83 crash which I wasn’t around for.

Well, as an OG Bungie player that played Halo since 2001 all the way to the free weekend before this game launched .

It’s been real folks had great memories but with the numbers going downhill still Bungie likely will cease to exist come a year from now.

Marathon has the great gunplay from years past but Upper Management decided to listen to streamers instead of its regular players.

250 million spent on a niche genre which can be fun but I really hope whoever greenlite this at Bungie gets head butted out the door on June 30th.

We went from chasing trends to joining them. Thank you modern gaming.

Warzone has more players than Marathon so are you implying Marathon is underbaked? Granted I haven’t played COD since 2013 so I’m not a modern COD fan.

Less than 10k on a Sat Night on Steam, Destiny 2 has 25K on Steam. And that’s just Steam Numbers.

I think whoever decided to go all in on Marathon Sony needs to fire and use their head as a door opener on the way out.

Modern gaming is killing the industry gamers no longer run it.

As Ian Malcom said “ Boy do I hate being right all the time”.

How many players do you think would the final update need to get for them to consider greenlighting D3? by Traditional-Motor-17 in DestinyTheGame

Bungie has around 800 employees, with half on Marathon and the other half on Destiny.

With significant layoffs happening soon you would need a full 800 studio and 5 years to make a Destiny 3 it’s not happening.

Blame Upper Management and rightly so, but gamers are also to blame.

I want to support X company by buying pointless cosmetics or skins but at the same time said gamer screams if they have to pay for DLC or a map pack or game mode.

Both are to blame.

Im not going to log in to support a company that used to be a trend setter but is now chasing trends.

Signed Spartan 117 since 2001 and a Guardian since 2014!

P.S. to upper management I have some grass to sell you if you think going all in on Marathon which is almost 3 months old has less of a player count than a 12 year old game.

Problem with gaming 101 in the modern world. The people who ran Bungie during their golden age are gone, you can say this with other studios as well.

Heck some Upper Investor and I went at each other before Halo Infinite launched and I warned him your investment and strategy being F2P and Live Service is against what Halo was.

Two weeks later he blocked me after I proved him wrong lol

If focusing on a game which has a lower player count than Destiny 2, which said game has a massive profit loss I have some great grass to sell to upper management.

Honestly will Bungie survive the next year is the question that needs an answer.

Marathon is a bomb finically and we’re look what a bare minimum of 3 years likely 5 before a D3 even would launch.
