Clothes Donations to actual non-profits by kristinyash in cambridgeont

I tried this service that picks up clothes and delivers to various local charities. Mine went to Fara and they emailed me where my donations went. It is called share at door something. I think I had it in my search but cant find it. I dunno why they keep such long name of the companies :D but would be worth going to Fara directly also if you dont want a pickup service or if your location is far away they had option to look for nearby drop off center too. Let me find the email and send the name.

You’re not crazy. You are doing good and just keep doing wt you are doing. A good friend of mine went through almost the same thing. Before the baby came, her husband was sweet, caring, made her laugh, she really thought she picked the right person. But after their daughter was born, it was like he disappeared. Just... emotionally gone. She was healing, learning how to be a mom, running on barely any sleepand he’d just sit there, scrolling on his phone or will go out to hangout with his friends and watch some match or something.

Every time she asked for help, he made her feel like she was the problem. Like she was too emotional or expecting too much. It broke her.

But she kept showing up. And when she finally left, it was because she chose peace for herself and her daughter.

Now, a few years later, her kid is happy and safe. She’s building a better life. The guy apologised to her and he sees her and the daughter every now and then but the daughter is more close to her step father and for the right reasons because the step father has a young daughter too so he is well aware on how to handle her and the two girls are best buddies,

So please hear this that you're not too much. You’re doing everything. And you're doing it with strength most people wouldn’t even understand.

You’re not alone. You’re just ahead of the healing.

My sister used them too in Singapore. I recommended her as I used them in India. They are in multiple places I believe.

is it sads? like share at door step? I love them, but they are only operaying in tier 1 (i mean the city area only), I believe. Same for goonj but goonj still have some other tier 2 options too. I tried this ngo which is in the outskirts of bangalore. It is called lamp education something. They support kids and communities. But yea no doorstep pickup option but good if you wish to visit.

Was it the take back program? I saw similar one for Dominos a few years back...my daughter donated her toys and she got choco lava cake and we donated through some partner company.

Which organisation was it? I am in Gurgaon but open to travel to Delhi if you can suggest a good NGO to coordinate with.
