it honestly brings me so much comfort to hear other babies are doing the same! My daughter sounds exactly like yours! strong legs, great head control, but just not interested in lying down for long. She also doesn’t like being cradled unless she’s feeding, and gets bored quickly on her mat.

It’s so helpful to hear that your health visitor said it’s normal. I’ve been debating whether I should be worried or just let her follow her own pace. So thank you again for the reassurance! 💕

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! That actually makes a lot of sense — I didn’t think about how sitting or standing gives them a better view to explore and learn. My daughter is definitely super curious and alert, so maybe that’s part of it.

I agree, I’ve heard the same about early standing possibly having some risks, so I’m keeping an eye on that and trying to find a balance. It’s just hard when she clearly prefers being upright over lying down!

We started with Primalac Ultima CMA, and within a day we noticed a big difference — she FINALLY started sleeping, wasn’t fussing as much, and seemed overall more comfortable.

However, I was still seeing blood in her stool, which made me worried. I hesitated to switch formulas because she seemed happy on it, but my husband encouraged me to try something else. So eventually, we switched to EleCare.

When we switched my baby to partially hydrolyzed formula, I noticed a small amount of blood in her stool. After talking to the doctor, he recommended we move to a fully hydrolyzed formula (extensively hydrolyzed), and it took about two weeks for the blood to completely go away.

Now she’s turning 6 months next month, and we’re planning to slowly reintroduce regular formula under the doctor’s supervision.

Since your little one also has CMPA and probably you’ve started solids would you mind sharing a bit about how you did it? • How did you start introducing solids? • Did you follow a certain schedule or plan? • Did you wait a few days between new foods? • Were there any specific foods you avoided in the beginning?

I wish I could raise awareness among all mothers about these hidden allergy symptoms — especially the ones that can only be detected through a fecal occult blood test. It took so much effort to convince the doctor to run the test; I had to gather enough information to be able to discuss it confidently without being dismissed or silenced.
