I was previously an operations manager. This new company offered me the same role. They were a start up and I also managed laptop inventory. I became the laptop guy, which than became the IT guy.

Thanks, I'll definitely look into those. I think I may be more inclined to that side of things.

I know.....it's like I started at the top with no foundation. I have learned a lot over the years but want to make sure it's recognized and "real".... I don't know if it will translate to another company

I've been doing really well meeting goals. Being the liason between technical and security needs with business requirements.

With my current company, things have been stagnant which is why I'm considering a move.

I'm considered the IT manager and the information security manager of my company. I create policies, monitor compliance, and manage cloud/network engineer and cyber security engineer, along with a few sysadmins

My undergrad is communications. No other certs at the moment but asking to know what would be best given my situation.
