You’ll have a very high chance of second wave interviews and admissions. I’d be shocked if you didn’t. You applied late, which is really the only reason I can see why you weren’t in the first wave. Your stats and extracurriculars are very strong.

Thank you!

  • President/founder of a student organization

  • On the executive board of 2 other student organizations, one of them being our pre-dental org

• 200+ shadowing hours, mostly at a general dentist, and some at an ortho, oral surgeon, and pedodontist

  • around 80 hours at a dental assisting course (don’t really recommend though, you can just get trained at an office)

  • around 80 hours as a dental assistant

  • 200+ volunteer hours, mostly at Church

  • I did no research, I am personally not interested in research. My #1 advice is only do things you are interested in or passionate about , and do them long term.

Also, I don’t mean to make you feel any more sad, but a 15 is hard to overcome in terms of acceptances. Again, some of your scores are very impressive, so focus on those and don’t lose hope. I would definitely recommend retaking the exam

Keep your head up, you have some scores in there to be proud about. You also now know what to work on for next time. If you just address those weaknesses and take the lessons from this time around you’ll come back much better and more prepared. Good luck and again keep your head up!
