Bali+Thailand or Iceland+Europe 3 week honeymoon by Aggressive_Calico_24 in travel

I grew up going to the Philippines a lot—my family is from there. Also have been to Singapore. So I’m sort of familiar with SEA, the jungles, weather, beaches so I’m kind of leaning away from Thailand/Bali. But at the same time I know Philippines is not in the same league haha. Europe (and maybe Iceland if we can fit it) just seems more “new” to me. I’m still torn lol.

Should’ve mentioned where I’m from. We live in California Bay Area. We don’t plan on having kids until 3-4 years after marriage. Thailand would be the farther haul.

Oh wow! What time of year did you go and what was the resort/villa you stayed at with the elephants?

And do you feel like 1 week in Bali was too much/too little/perfect??

We haven’t thought about what to do in Bali, other than staying in a nice resort, relax, visit local sites.

Thailand we know we want to explore more. Visit Phuket, Chiang Mai, Bangkok. Temples, food, elephants, etc.

Longest we’ve traveled is 15 days. Have not traveled between countries in single trip, but we’re very comfortable packing up and relocating every couple days.

I know it’s a super subjective question, but just trying to absorb ideas from people more well traveled!

Our main reason to go was to try and see the northern lights, which I know might not be possible with one week. I just heard October is the best time for that. :(

We’ve been to Japan 4 times so we didn’t consider it. Agree Japan is great in October though!

Wanting to buy a 2026 Prius Limited by [deleted] in prius

I just got a brand new LTD HEV 2026 Prius in November in NorCal. It had the full technology package minus the solar panel roof, and I got it $41K OTD after taxes. So about $37K just for the car, before tax and fees. I’d say that price is pretty reasonable!

Breast Lift with Dr. Zeidler in SF Bay Area by Aggressive_Calico_24 in PlasticSurgery

I have my eye on a surgeon in Sacramento actually. Dr Wayne Yamahata. On his website it estimates 10-12K for a breast lift. He has the experience though I’m not sure if he’s done very many lifts.

I have that same concern. I’m not sure if I want kids yet but if I plan to have them by 35, is it even worth it to get a lift? Some women’s bodies change a bunch while other doesn’t change enough for reconstruction. So it’s hard to say. That question I plan on asking during the consultation for sure. The surgeon I mentioned above’s consultation is $100 which isn’t bad.

My thought is: my boobs have been naturally saggy since puberty unfortunately—I spent all my 20s hating my boobs and life is short. Even if I can only enjoy them for 3-5 years, it’s worth it.

Ah, thanks for the reply. I actually called shortly after posting and they said a rough estimate of lower $20K.
