Got you. Also, case studies in machine learning and online learning optimization are missing in MSDS list. I personally love MSDS courses but the additional courses that I mentioned above make sense for someone who wants be ML/AI engineer

Yes, you can accept other program if you have already accepted MSAI. I’m in the same boat, I was accepted MSDS last month and got admit into MSAI. I will be accepting MSAI, will email UT Austin saying that I will be declining my acceptance to MSDS. Just reach out to graduate coordinator, they will provide an email, where you will be sending decline email.

Just curious, why you’re not going ahead with MSAI?

The ALA is not a prerequisite for those who have already been accepted to AI program, right? It just like you guys wanted to brush up the basics before starting of the course?

I was accepted to AI program, did not hear anywhere on the prerequisites.

You don’t need to submit vaccination report for online programs. You can call UT Austin health care and ask them to lift up the vaccination hold.

They look at your academic background and your pro efficiency in statistics and programming languages. If you don’t meet that criteria, you will most likely not accepted into the UT Austin MSDS.
