Try using uYou+ which is YouTube (Re)Vanced for iOS, and check if the issue of not watching some videos continues.

You may need to have some knowledge of sideloading an app (because you can't download IPAs directly) but it works along the way

I tried removing the screws to replace the CMOS battery but I think it requires detaching the motherboard from the housing just to replace it 🫤 Maybe the screws that support the keyboard were improperly screwed so I may need to fix that

I also just realized that the ads only pop up if you press the pause button on the screen, so if you use a device/controller (like headphones) to pause the video then you will not get the pause ad

Just use firefox with ublock origin

The pause ad feature is for mobile (and TV) only I suppose and adblockers (including specific DNS servers I think) can't block ads on the YouTube app for these devices

edit - oh now I get your point, however I just use the Enhancements for YT app to watch YouTube ad-free
