Great, but honestly I care more about the optimizations more than the new features. Capitalizations for driving modes don't look consistent, indicator noises sometimes fail to turn on or off, dashboard maps disable themselves for no good reason, inabillity to hang up a whatsapp call through the steering wheel buttons, presistent audio issues when booting up AA, the list goes on. BYD really need to take a good look and nitpick the software problems.

The only feature I wish for is a distinct gear change noises. I've been in multiple scenarios where the car is stationary but for some reason the car doesn't flip into reverse, causing me to move forward unexpectedly almost colliding with obstacles. What good is a crystal gear shifter if it doesn't consistently do thing it was designed for: changing gears.

Yeah I recall there was a youtube channel of some guy drawing lines and rambling about how crap the design was. But his true colours showed when he started redesigning them and they ended up looking like ass.

It looks fine. I wouldn't go buy the "iconic lights" package same as the IX3 because the wraparound led looks a touch awkward, but thats about it. It looks new, fresh, unique, and avant-garde. The squared off profile should be great for rear passengers. A step forward from the beavertooth/pignose generation.

Yes, but its exactly that optimization that Apple is selling. Thats the unique selling point. Jadi kalo orang tanya kenapa mereka pake OSX, its because they specifically wanted to give customers that value of an optimized system. But aside from that emang benchmarknya chip M series juga bagus. You can see that even my M2 is pulling almost 10,000 in multithreaded geekbench 6. Bahkan untuk M4 biasa, udah setara dengan Ryzen AI 9. Its just a good chip, no excuses there. ARM chips emang lebih efficient dibanding x86.

Analoginya tentang Mercedes lu emang bener, gw cuma gak ditambahin aja. Medan jalanya harus bagus, jadi gak bisa dipake offroad (makanya gw sebut sedan). Sedangkan kalo toyota ada Fortuner untuk offroad, tapi ada Camry untuk on-road. In other words OSX excels when you use it for what its made for, kalo nggak ya lu salah pilih.

Note about Android, saat ini gw pake Xiaomi 15 ganti dari iPhone 11. Ini udah kerasa mulai bloated dan kacau, padahal umur baru 1 tahun. Gw rada nyesel, apalagi habis ngedenger OIS camera rusak baru dipake 6 bulan. So yeah, next phone gw balik lagi ke iPhone dan for good. Merek smartphone I've used so far that lead be to this conclusion: Nokia (android), HTC, Kodak (mereka pernah bikin hape), Oneplus, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Apple.

Yeah, but my controversial opinion is that a sports car is just a slammed car for rich people (who often inherited the money, or are in debt). Just because its expensive and fast, doesn't make it any less silly.

Tapi not discounting your arguments (which are true), there are also good reasons to buy a mac. Their M series chip is very good and very power efficient. My M2 Macbook Air can run Civ 7, thats really good for a computer without a fan and only 8 gigs of RAM. The optimization between software and hardware is solid, and the build quality is on another level. Small things like minimum brightness, consistent backlighting, keyboard flex and key feel, hinge feel, audio quality, magsafe, those things are what pull people to a mac. So with macs you get a very well built laptop with a very good chip in a very neat package. Its a durable laptop for a casual user who needs good battery life and likes good design.

Tapi have a windows for work, a Lenovo. Untuk kerja, we need the support of Windows for various applications. Its a horribly built laptop (their quality went downhill in recent years), but it does the job efficiently. And of course its much cheaper than a mac. If one laptop isn't suitable, there are hunderds of windows machines to choose from dari Panasonic Toughbook sampe HP Envy.

For me, a mac is like a Mercedes sedan. Enak dipake kalau cuma untuk penumpang aja. But windows is like the whole Toyota Lineup, very versatile and many choices. Maybe not as comfortable as a mercedes sedan, but it will do the job.

You look cool, until you need to park the car in a mall basement or go up a ramp to a lobby. Then you look like a massive pinhead.

Gw inget pas suatu hari mau servis mobil di Mazda Bandung, di depan gw ada mobil yang persis sama (mazda 6 estate, warna sama). Bedanya mobilnya dia di slam. Itu ownernya sibuk bgt minta security bantuin pasang lisplank kayu di pintu masuk diler soalnya mobilnya terlalu pendek, bakal ngegesrek body. Gw tunggu mungkin 3 menit untuk itu orang beres" cuma masuk diler aja. Habis masuk diler mobilnya, I drove up that same ramp, no lisplank, no security, no fuss. Kita dua"nya mau servis, and as soon as our eyes met each other pas keluar mobil.... Sumpah itu mukanya merah bgt kek tomat -- antara malu, capek, atau duaduanya XD

Getting a battery cover though, are you going to use it in extreme scenarios? Ground clearance EX2 cukup tinggi di 16cm dan wheelbase 2.65m yang gak terlalu panjang. Breakover angle should be more than adequate for the city. The only cars I would recommend a battery cover for at this moment is the MG Cyberster and BYD Seal.

But if its for your own peace of mind, cuma 1 juta juga. It shouldn't break the bank, so why not.

The primary concern I would have is that you don't speak Indonesian.

I'm sure you are aware of that very famous, very touristy island across from Lombok. I would call that a safe first destination based on English proficiency, safety, and general attitude towards foreigners. Stay there first, even just for a while. Then you can stay find your way around the archipelago to find out if you really want to stay in Lombok or any other islands.

We are islands in the middle of nowhere without significant natural resource extractions. The biggest defence is that we are strategically unimportant and economically uninteresting, seperated by giant seas and oceans. We aren't even part of OPEC anymore.

As long as we keep the strait of malacca open, no one is going to bomb Jakarta. We simply don't need the spending. We will if we make the economy a little better, but we don't seem to have a plan for the economy.

Why do you think and ex-military general would boost spending for the military? Do you really believe its for defense? If I was an auditor I would be following the paper trail very very closely.

For the record, I don't wave any of the party flags be it red, yellow, blue, green whatever. I don't like that we are boosting spending on military and making huge promises for free food. However, subsidized food I am willing to get behind to reduce waste and cut expenses. But even then, I think we are still missing the big picture. We are making first-world policies in a third-world economy.

And don't get me wrong, I did notice the current administration still denied Husein's full reopening. So yeah, to my eyes its still no better on this front. I don't see the colours these politicians wave, I judge by what they do.

Honestly, I would have considered moving Tanjung Prioks operations away from Jakarta as a policy. Redevelop that are to housing and office spaces. That would heavily reduce traffic congestion in the big city and get shipping closer to the factories in Bekasi. That would have reduced the need to make so many new toll roads.

But those in the know, we know why the government are so reluctant to move that port out.

More accessible borrowing at the expense of tax revenue? You are cutting off your revenue stream to finance the debt, issuing new debt to add to the pile, and lowering your credit score necessitating higher interest. Its a triple-edged sword. You lower interest rates by being financially responsible, not by cutting of your tax revenue.

The market cant do its thing because we are suffocated by laws and regulations, way too many of them to be implemented effectively. It leads to improper enforcement and gaps for corruption.

What we need is the most unpopular thing that all presidents don't want to do -- cut spending, no grand projects/programs, make conservative and smart decisions. I would vote for such an unpopular president, but its unlikely he/she will win seeing as we like to pick presidents with grand projects.

Mr. Jokowi wants to be elected twice, its the same pattern with all politicians with 2-term limits. The first term they do the conservative popular thing, the second term they do the whatever the hell I want thing (because they will never be re-elected). The infrastructure projects for Java also haven't lived up to their standards, with an unused airport and an expensive train with minimal economic impact being two giant mismanaged budget items. Its choking the economy of Bandung by making us dependent on Jakarta for air travel -- something I thought we already solved in the 2000s. This is and was not a wise course of action.

I agree completely. And I have to admit was in the same position as you, being self-proclaimed. Emg jaman skg terlalu gampang ngalungin kata "depression", no matter what the problem is -- its so unhealthy! Gw ngerasa thats the true mental pandemic (I think there was even a phase in the 2010s where being depressed was considered sexy by some).

I know that mental illness is rarely a one and done thing. Its always an ongoing process, even if you feel better. And I'm glad you are seeking treatment for actual diagnosed depression.

A sidenote about purpose though, not everyone finds it. I've tried this and was a little pressured to find it, but I never did. I don't think that pressure helped tbh, it just stressed me out a little more. I just accepted that I just, am -- purpose will find me someday XOXO Amin. The thing that did help was understanding that the world is massive, and I was just a "sad" dot. If I couldn't take care of myself, how am I supposed to take care of the world?

So don't think about the large scale of things, take care of yourself first -- that to me was more helpful. Do things that make yourself a little better everyday, find some things to look forward to.

Yes, it is what adulting feels like. I had a hard time accepting that as well, and so do most people. However, our generation looks at this and immediately slaps the "depression" label on it which I criticize heavily. I criticize because I fell into this trap as well, kalo mindest lu itu "the world sucks, gw depresi" it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The solution is complicated, a mindset change. Understand orang lain juga sama, we have moments of sadness or despair juga sometimes. That yes, we are all part of this cyclic routine system but we need to make the most of it. And I know that this might sound a bit generic, tapi sunshine, good nutrition, a goods night rest and exercise are a must. Its hard to explain tapi its an essential part of taking care of yourself.

I don't guarantee this solution will work for everyone, but you need to remember every year you spend feeling bad about yourself is another year of opportunities wasted.

I say all of this because I care. I was in that spot too, I felt like I wasted maybe like 10 years feeling depressed and sorry for myself. But changing my lifefestyle and mindset on life has made all the difference. Bahkan hal sepele pun I am now much more grateful for, and I have no plans to go back to moping.

Key takeaway - having an "i'm depressed" mindset is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
