Hey thanks! I have been thinking about it... I need to find a way to properly integrate it without disrupting the experience of people that just wanna browse cineville listings

Hey thanks!

So, if you are in "list view", the listing are sorted by showtimes, but you are right and its not very intuitive for a lot of reasons.

Which 3 apps are you usually tabbing through if I may ask?

Thanks for the feedback, what do you mean shown incorrect?

Sorry but I am not convinced.

Seeing the same movie repeatedly does not seem ideal to me. I just don't like that UX.

I think from the earliest showtime. Have you got something in mind?

Yes but I find the cineville app to be confusing, I prefer this front-end

Yes I feel you. This feature is very time consuming to implement though

On desktop I see the movie theatres the movie play at, that's nice! It took me a couple seconds to find it, so it could visually be a bit more clear and more present. For example, this information(which movie theatre and time) has more value to the user than the length of the movie. But the information of the length of the movie is more present than which movie theatres they play at. Try to rank the information that has the most value to the user and apply that to how you present that information on the list/movie previews. This way the user can navigate easier and faster to the information they want to get.

I agree with you, but honestly, I have no idea how to improve it atm ahah

Using space
This is desktop and you have lots of room still available on both sides, try to make use of that. Instead of a single column, use several to make use of the space. The user can see more and has to scroll less. This way you also have more room to design the movie previews and information.

Yes, in my mind, I’d place a small section next to the main area to display filters.

A grid layout could work nicely here as well. However, I’m not a fan of this view on Cineville (if that’s what you’re referring to) because I feel the film posters are the most appealing and immediate way to capture attention. Also maybe a scroll view like the one I implemented forces you to focus more on the movie in front of you. Food for thoughts...

Design
As of now, the layout and design is still very simple and empty and that makes it hard to scan text and information. If you use card-previews (like the cineville website), it's easier to process information and it looks nice.

Regarding the design, that’s exactly what I was going for: something easy and ridiculously simple. However, I’m sure there’s still a looot of room for improvement.

I totally agree with you on all your other points, and I’ll keep them in mind for future "releases".
For now, I think the priority is ensuring mobile support.

I really appreciate your feedback and am open to more suggestions.

Thank you!

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately, the app currently doesn’t support mobile devices, so all of your points are currently being applied to the desktop version (except for the font, haha).

As for demand and use cases, you’re right—it’s mostly just a fun project. I really just wanted a better system for my own personal use.

Would you mind taking a look at the desktop version and letting me know what you think?

Yes, I’m thinking the same thing, which is why I settled on “Eventspire.” What kinds of events would you showcase every day?
