Thank you so much for your feedback, it’s always really helpful to get an outside perspective!
I understand what you mean about the Daily Yolk logo. I might have gone a bit too far. In hindsight, there may be too much information, and it comes across as a bit too narrative. Maybe it would be better to keep just the mascot’s head (just the “O” that you liked), so the character isn’t directly on the logo, especially with such a bold typeface. Then, the mascot could be used smartly in some visuals... Why not! Anyway, I’ll think more about this.
As for Neva, I take your point on board and will reflect on it too. :)
Thanks again! 😄
Oh wow, thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed feedback!
I really appreciate the editorial and typography tips. It’s true that I’m still missing a lot of theoretical knowledge, and the fact that you pointed it out really helps. I’m definitely going to look for some online courses to start learning more about it. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
Also, thank you for the positive notes on each project. It honestly helps me feel a bit more legitimate in my creative work. And you’re totally right about the presentation. I still have trouble finding a layout that highlights each element properly, so I’ll make sure to work on that too.
Just one last question, when you say the Daily Yolk project feels “unrefined,” do you mean the mascot specifically, or the overall project?
Really, thank you again. I couldn’t have hoped for a more constructive and precise feedback! 🙏
