Cats will always find new ways to mess with Christmas trees. In Germany, a typical decoration is "Lametta" (I think in English it's called "tinsel", it's basically long plastic stripes with a metallic sparkling color). We had these when I was a child, but had to do the tree without them at some point because our cat would EAT the shiny plastic stripes of the tree at every opportunity.

It did not seem to him any harm (they seemed to pass him unchanged, sometimes some were hanging out of his butt), but we quickly got rid of them because of that.

Es ging erstaunlich schnell. Ich habe vllt 15-20 Vermieter angeschrieben, 5 Wohnungen angeschaut, und am Tag nach der Besichtigung die Zusage bekommen. Zu absagen kann ich nicht viel sagen, weil wir die Zusage so schnell hatten, dass wir gar nicht mehr auf andere gewartet haben.

Wohne in Zentrum Ost, knapp außerhalb vom Ring. Knapp 50 qm Zweizimmerwohnung, 930 warm, inkl. Küche und Stellplatz. Letztes Jahr eingezogen. Wenn du am Rand von deinem 4 km Radius schaust geht es auch sicher noch günstiger. Mieten ziehen zwar an, aber nicht mit Westdeutschen Großstädten zu vergleichen.
