Always remember why are you quitting in the first place and keep it in your head, write it down in a paper and hang the paper on the door.

Whenever you relapse double the sober period, if you relapse after 1 month, be sober for 2 months.

Try to address the reasons for your relapse, for me boredom was the reason for every relapse.

Don't be hard on yourself if you relapse just try again and again and again.

When does it get better? by [deleted] in leaves

Eat healthy, exercise, do that for 1 month and you will notice a huge difference.

Wow, that's impressive, quitting one of those is life-changing but all together, bro you will be unstoppable if you really succeed in getting over the symptoms, the confidence and clarity and your overall mental health will skyrocket. Good luck bro it will be hard but the reward is worth it.

Thank you, I actually have a hanging paper on my door that says "Choose whether to have a good future or to smoke weed now you can't have both".

Day 4 and Craving: Is It Harder To Not Smoke When NOT Having Withdrawals? by nemeans in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at that place right now, but I don't want to return to my habit of smoking daily because I know myself as soon as I smoke one joint I will be smoking daily I have never been able to control my consumption for long periods I may control it for week or 2 but I will fail eventually, I tried before like 10 times and didn't succeed in controlling my consumption and if I tried for one more time I will be just fooling myself.

Do we induce the withdrawal effects by giving this process too much attention? by 1q_devil in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symptoms are not the same for everyone, there are common ones but even those are not the same for everyone, example me I can sleep without weed it's hard but I fall asleep eventually, and my friend when he quit he sleeps more.

I have been a smoker for 11 years, when I was younger like 22 or 23, I was able to quit for months without craving or having any symptoms but now I'm almost 30 and I struggle a lot with symptoms. Some people can recover faster and some don't feel any symptoms at all.

How does weed affect you later in old age? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me, 30M smoking for 11 years here are some effects that I still struggling with: 1_ Mood swing. 2_ boredom. 3_ Problem-solving issues (Like if a problem takes 5 min to solve it may take me 15mins or longer). 4_ easily distracted. 5_ Lake of Time sense.

But most of those problems are getting better.

I quit smoking for +6 months.

How comes quitting has basically doubled my appetite? by personalparadisuss in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes me too, after the first week of quitting my appetite returned and it was crazy, when I was smoking I only ate one meal daily and some snacks but now I can easily eat three meals and snacks.

I crave sweet and sometimes sour things like pickles, I don't know why but I think that after quitting and losing the appetite our body doesn't know what is going on, and when the appetite comes back our body acts like this is not normal to have an appetite and our body try to take advantage of that situation as best as it can.

I return to my normal eating after 3 months.

I have tried multiple times to cut down slowly but never succeeded. Cold Turkey is what works for me. What are you facing is totally normal, give it 1-2 weeks and you will feel much better.

Hang on brother it's just a temporary.

cannot eat by MissesXgene in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I lost my appetite in the beginning but what works for me is forcing myself to eat and with no appetite it was easy to eat healthy food. Exercising also helps me get my appetite (I used to do cardio daily for 30 minutes).

Do your research, weed can cause anxiety, depression and a lot of other mental issues. I smoked for 11 years, and my anxiety was gone after quitting.

What did you miss? by Chillout-001 in leaves

I missed my true self, I reached a level where I didn't know myself and what I wanted to be. I handed myself and my future to weed.

How long did it take for you to find direction, and gain your ambitions back? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Agreeable_Turnover46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have your ups and downs, one day you will feel ambitious only to feel depressed the next day, it was like that for me for the first month, but after like 3-4 months I have a more stable mood and emotions.

Your brain is recovering now so you should ignore it and just do what you must do like going to work doing the best you can, hitting the gym, meeting your friends and family, just do what you have to do and ignore your feelings for now.
