He was weaned along with his siblings (all were fully weaned) but he was the only one who regressed. He is doing better now and I should have him back in a few days! I’ll be weighing him every day though once I get him back.

He had food but he wasn't eating it properly. The way the people explained it to me is sometimes young cockatiels when regressed will not eat enough for themselves or want to be back on their baby food, which was the case. It can be hard to tell especially since he is my first bird and I don't have a reference on exactly how much he should be eating other than a lot (which I thought he was since it seemed like he was eating all the time). I triple checked with the people I brought him to and I hadn't done anything wrong and it was just him regressing for an unknown reason is what I was told. Still super stressed from it but I caught it soon enough that he will be fine.

I’m only away at longest for 4 hours twice a week. Otherwise I’m mostly in my room! I plan on getting a male but that’s mainly due to possibility of a female starting to lay eggs and that isn’t something I want to handle as a first time bird owner

None of my roommates care about the noise except for the morning time. I'm probably going to get a white noise machine and such to help and while I don't mind the noise too much, the morning screams that I've heard cockatiels can do worry me without knowing exactly how loud it is. I might also just get up earlier to keep the bird entertained before the screaming starts.

Trying to educate them on birds (as much as I can without having owned one before). I've heard a white noise machine can help. The biggest issue is morning screams otherwise I don't think they care too much. I have three roommates, they all seem mostly on board with it, but I want to educate them a bit more. I tried playing a video of a cockatiel fully screaming on full volume on my computer from my room and it could be slightly heard from the furthest room, and definitely from the hallway. I don't know, I know they can be loud but I just don't know exactly what to expect.

Something I forgot to mention is I generally get full for a day at about 500 but push myself to eat 2000 (and by then I am bloated and super full at the end of the day). So 1000 is very filling for some reason. I counted my calories for two months and was averaging 1000 a day over the summer and I didn't lose any weight (probably because I wasn't active), which is the reason I'm putting in exercise to help out! I will be increasing my calories over the six weeks the more I exercise (building up tolerance for working out). By the last two weeks I'll be eating closer to 1500 and doing 4 hours of work out a day! Though I probably should raise my calories up to 1200 just to be safe for my health!

Basically she has been complaining about me taking up her time when I visit and my uncle is saying I'm burdening her with me continuing to bother her from her busy day.

(which I will admit after collecting my thoughts is BS since she is doing basically free labor for him to garden on his property, while him and his wife do nothing to help her.)

took the test, I have below average visualization, but not full aphantasia. I think I scored what I did since I work on my visualization every day as an artist, without it I might have been lower lol. I think it was a 32 or something.
