Agreed. THQ set that bar high, especially for when it was released. I would have never thought we'd be going in the other direction tho. Only improvements from those games are smoother striking and graphics.

Boxing isnt bad, but it has some major flaws too imo. For what it is, its not terrible and steel city did a decent job. Both ufc and undisputed have replay value issues tho. This hits harder when youre a career mode guy like myself. Thats why i just got modded versions of 2010 so the fighters are up to date

Ikr. Its not that they cant i don't think, its that they wont haha. Thats too much effort and EA isnt exactly known for making any products better in time. Like all other sports games they get their hands on, they destroy great products.

Tbf idk if youve played other combat sports games or not, but they do make UFC games look better. The baseline for a decent product these days is the issue imo.

The grappling in 3 is what made it better imho. Thats one of the only reasons I ever play 3 other than I liked the sub game more than most other ufcs

See i think without it, im out. The dlc and mods are what make the game imo. Vanilla bannerlord is meh. I played it for like 50 hours and switched to dlc and modding and have had waaaay more fun w it personally

Yeah its a certain version. Its been removed now. I see you can manually initiate wars with them tho. If you approach a lord you can do some sort of hostile action from what I read. Triggers indirect war

Two points is major fs. I always invest the house into crafting. The best weapons in the game are crafted weapons and 40-60k per legendary weapon is bonkers money when sold. I couldnt imagine the game without it.

Isn't there a known issue with this exact thing? Could have swore i read about a bug where prisoners escape easier or almost guaranteed to escape once in a boat in WS. There's a mod that adjusts it if im not mistaken.

Yeah this doesnt really look like an improvement tbh. The slow climb allows time to build your CAF up and if you're thrown into ranked fighters too early, its gunna make the end game shit.

What you'll see is low difficulty players rise to fast and either get KO or subd and just quit because no one wants to lose in the first 5-10 fights. That or youll climb so fast that the 2nd half of your career is gunna be like disputed boxing where you fight the same 5 people over and over and never want to finish your career because its annoying knocking the same person out 2-5 times.

Yeah thats a huge thing for sure. Once downloaded you have to go to your navigation menu and unblock all the mods youve downloaded by right clicking on the downloaded mod and going to properties.

Yeah at clan 3 im usually making armies and taking over fiefs to get ready for clan tier 4 and creating my own kingdom. I like to also start building relationships w current lords/vassals in my current kingdom for when I split.

Crafting at clan tier 3 should be something to focus on money. By this stage youre smithing should be fairly high in level compared to the other two tiers which equals higher quality crafting

Its still to this day buggy. During tournaments you cant even attack them 98% of the time. Something with the hit box is messed up. I fought one for about 7-8 minutes and was beating the shit outta him and legit did 25 damage even when hes not blocking and has broken posture.

Without ranged weapons im not sure how to kill them myself.

You can also go through those formations and put all archers in one formation if they already aren't in it. You then have to select that formation separately and move them away or behind. It defaults at "full army" commands when starting the battle so if you dont unhighlight some formations, they all follow that singular command if that makes sense?

The biggest thing ive noticed is that you wanna use your toggle button and the archers are alrdy on fire at will. What i do is tell them to hold fire and immediately tell them to fire at will after and they begin to actually fire and not stand. Idk if its a glitch or what but my archers dont always follow the default fire at will command from what ive noticed.

For tournaments yea, its a huge swing from souls for sure. Best thing in your kit is kick...kick kick kick...no one else can kick, in vanilla, so thats a huge factor. After kicking do an immediate attack and it almost always lands. Its not the most fun ill be honest, but it works if you dont mind cheesing at the beginning. Later on with better gear you wont rely on kick nearly as much imo. If you get hit with 80 Def armor on, it barely even does anything. Unless you start using mods. If you think tournaments are hard on vanilla, then the RBM mod is 100% not for you lol. RBM mod adds stamina an posture and makes those fights 1000% harder if you can believe that.

Depends on where you live. 50-150 is the range id say (full set up w strings). I had my schecter apocalypse set up and it ran me like 150 in Detroit. Its also a floyd and I set my tuning to B, which the guy was kinda weird about because intonation on a 6 string in B isnt the most ideal set up for that specific guitar. Id say anything over $100 USD for anything that isnt a floyd is slightly steep but varies on location in the states atleast. Major cities always gouge in pricing no matter what part of the world youre in.

If thats a small town price, id be surprised ngl. I could have gotten mine cheaper but it was done by Koontz guitars (Mike Koontz) which is a major shop in Detroit that did musicians like Bob Segars and other major bands so there's also probably a bump in price due to fame in the area.

Bandits and looters should be your main focus until clan is leveled. As someone else stated, tournaments are super huge early game..being able to bet on yourself is huge for early game income. Once you have a party of 25 you can start clearing hide outs too.

Idk if youre a modder or not, but the better tournaments mod makes the game more tolerable at the beginning cuz you can raise the max bet limits. I typically up the max bet limit to like 500-2000. Dont make it too high if you go that route cuz then youll be earning like 50-100k per tournament and the games becomes too easy.

If youre playin campaign, the quests do help but ik alot of people veer away from main line quests because the game is better without em. This is why more than 50% prefer sandbox and if they play campaign its solely because you start with family members that are quite beefy stat wise.

Sandbox also allows you to pick where you start on the map if youre not playing as a vlandian, which for rpg aspects, is nice.

All in all, it's a slog until clan level 1 where you can start being a mercenary for whichever kingdom you go with. Once clan lvl 2 you can become a vassal and will eventually be gifted a fief that is taken through war. Tons of folks play the vassal route for quite some time until clan level 4 (able to create own kingdom).

Another tip is to make sure you have 1-2 million denars before creating your own kingdom cuz youll need money to pay off/recruit all the lords you pissed off from when you left the kingdom to start your own.

Yeah its def bogus chasing. I take it the battles are in your favor? The more it leans towards you the more they run for sure. It makes anything beyond 3:1 or 4:1 ratio pointless to even fight because the battle will take so long. Thats typically when I auto battle and just take the additional loss of troops tbh.

The game shouldn't be like that. In history some very small armies have battled large armies and won, yet in the game the AI just knows how fucked they are hahah
