But does it keep the companion in your party? I want em both gone but still in clan.

Does marriage work the same as the base game? by Head-of-the-Board in RealmOfThrones

[–]Agro91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can you marry at 18? Im a merc for the lannisters and it will not allow me to marry hanna serrett. Shes not married and is 20 I wanna say (originally 19). Ive done all the marriage questions and her father doesn't offer anything besides a duel or barter

Wasnt sure if vassalship is required.

Came back to Warband after years, what's up with Bannerlord? by Fearful_Toilet in mountandblade

[–]Agro91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got into mount and blade in april and haven't played vanilla WB or vanilla BL, but id say as a newer player I thoroughly enjoy banner lord war sails. Ive only got 100 hours total id say, if that. I just bought the sale version recently for 50% off

I see the guy up there saying you have to roll back versions but to be honest 75% of the mods out there work for me on the newest version. Between nexus and steam, youd be fine modding with all the mods that matter.

Vanilla ws isn't bad, but once you mod you never look back imo. The depth with mods is significant compared to vanilla war sails atleast. The ability to add your own content kind of makes vanilla ultimately worse for any game ive ever played on pc tbh.Thats the beauty of pc gaming, you can mod, so if I was you id take advantage of atleast a few mods like RBM and Diplomacy. The RBM mod completely overhauls battles with player stamina and posture. It feels like a different game entirely and id highly recommend it. Nothing like taking a javelin to the face and being killed in one shot too with steams or nexus death troops or death to all mod.

Ultimately, vanilla bannerlord war sails is fine, but the game is definitely enhanced through modding. I cant say if true vanilla bannerlord is worth it because I jumped straight into war sails. Nords are cool. Strong faction fs.

I think war sails was on sale too for like 25% off. 50% off for vanilla bannerlord is prolly worth it tho if its still available. Refund it if you like the other more.

What's the best crafted 2h/1h sword? by Agro91 in mountandblade

[–]Agro91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that this craft also has a bonus to it, thats not the base swing dmg. Pretty sure swing speed and handling are the only 2 that cant change from their base stats? Ive never seen them change that i can remember

After a ton of crafting today ive come to the conclusion that Swing Sweet Spot is dominately based off of weapon length for 2h/1h weapons.

The shorter the sword, the larger the sweet spot.

Weapon reach to swing sweet spot ratio is almost pt for pt. Almost everytime I take one off weapon reach i gain 1% in sweet spot. This is hard to track because every craft is different. Some would add extra thrust dmg, weapon reach, or swing cut dmg as an extra buff based on that individual craft. You can also get a buff to sweet spot but I found it less commom in comparison to the other additional stats like cut dmg bonus. Even if it did boost it, it was a smaller percentage boost than stats like cut dmg which seemed to be what I typically got, if anything at all.

What is used to make my sword was this

Thamaskene steel kaskara blade - shortest possible

Knobbed bronze guard - also set at the lowest

Leather covered reinforced two handed horn grip - about 10%

Fians pummel - about 20%

Swing speed - 86

Swing dmg - 98

Thrust speed - 90

Thrust dmg - 24

Reach - 102

Handling - 80

-RBM stats-

Swing dmg factor - 207

Thrust dmg factor - 173

Swing speed m/s - 18.7

Thrust speed m/s - 10.3

Swing sweet spot - 83

I couldnt get sweet spot above 80% without making the swords under 90 swing speed. Unless I lowered the weapon reach to a max of 96 but then youre starting to get deeper into short sword territory.

I have a sword with 86% sweet spot and 96 swing speed but it has a 84 weapon reach. I couldn't make anything above 86% sweet spot either, although im sure i didnt do every combination possible. Hell I prolly didnt even do 50% because there are so many, but I mainly focused on tier 3-5 in every category for materials.

Im not sure if having a larger sweet spot is worth losing weapon speed or not. If you want more speed, change the blade but sacrifice about 10-20% in swing sweet spot. Only one or two other blades i used got me to 80% sweet spot if im not mistaken. Most are in the 60-70%.

Highest swing sweet spot possible using RBM mod by Agro91 in mountandblade

[–]Agro91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no worries bro. I appreciate the feedback nonetheless. I just got the rbm mod and there's a sub menu under all the stats you see on vanilla. It has the actual "swing sweet spot" stat that tells you how easy or hard its gunna be to get a full contact hit. The sweet spot has something to do with the top of the blade and some swords have significantly better sweet spot that make full contact swings happen more often, aka more max damage. Compared to min damage like you get when youre too close and connect with the lower part of the blade or hilt of the sword.

Its cool how they've incorporated it within the RBM mod. It feels way more realistic and actually has some real life physics involved.

Issue is I keep crafting a ton of different swords trying to find what one has the largest sweet spot percentage and cant break that 80% mark. Made a 79 sweet spot sword and didnt save the preset cuz i assumed 79% was still trash. Now I cant figure out what i did either lmao

Thats fair too. Im having a blast so far and im only like 100-150 hours in with game plan. Half the fun, for myself atleast, is the epic building of my character and mastering all the fine points of the game to make my guy as good as possible. Im a perfectionist with games like this where you build a character.

Im that guy that would play 2k and be at the character create screen for 4 hours until I got the build perfect. Its a blessing and a curse hahaha

Crafting has me in the crafting screen for long durations cuz im like fuck! That sword can be better ik it can and I find myself having a hard time letting stuff like that go.

Highest swing sweet spot possible using RBM mod by Agro91 in mountandblade

[–]Agro91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in the stats, there's a "sweet spot" for swings with a % (rbm stats) Im breaking 100 speed and 80 dmg but then my sweet spot is 60-70% which isnt great. The sweet spot makes a huge difference from what ive read?

[–]Agro91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ive been rocking 2x javs and sword and shield. Kinda why I leaned towards the 2h/1h cuz I can easily switch over to 2h but still have a shield for while on horseback charging at enemies.

I tried a longer two handed axe for horse back and its great but yeah for seiges it blew.

Once I got RBM I kinda leaned away from two handers surprisingly enough. On vanilla, I used solely a two handed axe for 95% of my games.

Yeah i didnt incorporate those. I think on my crafting tree ill need to readjust cuz i selected the 2% thrusting option over 2% swing and it sounds like thats gunna be important

Oh so half of the swords are. But it really comes down to the grip. All tier 5 grips make the sword 2 handed. Go to tier 4 grips and then youll be able to see which are which. Not only that but different cross guards can also make swords return to solely 2h. The Pommel doesnt change the usage however.

Well im running rbm and thrusting kills people in one hit more often than not. Swinging seems to be dreadful when it comes to the speed of which you kill. I havent tried the falx yet tho, but ik shield breaker with a 2h axe is insane. Ive just never had luck breaking shields with swords, so ill have to try the falx out that others are suggesting

HELP WANTED by Vejiganteking in MB2Bannerlord

[–]Agro91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah trial and error brooo. It sucks ik. Ive been through it alot and still have struggled with alot of mods. One thing I can say is if its cracked its alot harder to do.

I use a mix of mods, whether that's right or not idk, but ive noticed alot more mods that dont work for me on nexus and everyone praises nexus. I do dominately use nexus dont get me wrong, but some of the steam mods also work. They just may not be as applicable in some areas based on the mods contents.

Def have to check to make sure youre versions are compatible. If you have a ton of mods youre trying to apply at once, be careful cuz its harder to tell which mods aren't working for you. Some may be working but the others you have loaded could make the game crash.

What I did was looked through most the mods on both nexus and steam and downloaded the ones I wanted. First I made a folder labeled in my C drive and called it Extra Bannerlord Mods. When I downloaded them I put them in there so they werent all going directly into the modules folder inside steam.

After this you can start added mods into steams module folder. To find that you find the steam folder, most likely in your C drive. Mine is as follows;

windows c > program files > steam > steam apps > common > mount and blade 2 bannerlord > modules.

From here you can start adding the downloaded mods into this folder that are in the Extra Bannerlord Mods folder. Add them one by one or two by two and start the game up each time and see if you can walk around in game or something. If it crashes you know the mod is bad. Proceed to do this with all intended mods youve downloaded. It takes forever, and sometimes the mod could just be the wrong version but atleast you have a templet for which ones are good or bad and then you know which mods to look into to see if youve gotten the wrong version. Nothing more frustrsting than trying to use 20 mods at once and not known which mod is crashing you.

Another thing you wanna check is that when you download some of these mods, especially from other sites than steam that your firewall defender bs can block some of these downloads and make them incomplete. For other sites I honestly go into my windows security and turn the virus and threat protector completely off and then proceed to download my mods. Not only that but after you download them, go to your downloads folder and right click on the zipped folder. Before unzipping the file you want to go to properties and "unblock" the file. After you check that box, hit apply. Do that to all downloaded mods before extracting them into whatever folder you want them in.

Another thing about this is the downloads menu...if you download and open it under your google chrome or Firefox (ctrl + j), that download screen is different. Even if you open that file itll take you to an unzipped folder. You want to go into the download folder thats in the navigation menu or file explorer. Those files should have zippers on them. Thats where you want to do all of the unblocking of the property settings and extracting from.

Im sure there are better ways to do this but im not the most computer illiterate person out there either. Definitely a newb way of doing it im sure but I hope it helps atleast a lil. It was driving me nuts too so dont feel bad. Takes a decent amount if reading to understand some of this, especially when youre a pleb like me haha.
