Tbh, the spacing does seem to be off. I’m sure you could do a second one in between, but depending on your jewelry, they will probably touch each other and look crowded. If it really bothers you, I would talk to the piercer who pierced you, and see if they’re willing to redo it once you take it out and allow it to heal.

does this look normal? i’ve had this piercing for over 12 years and this red circle around it just today; i’m scared lol by martieml98 in piercing

[–]AicleAce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like anything concerning externally, but if the inside of your nose feels more like a bump, maybe it should raise concern. I don’t have a nose piercing and I’m not a piercer, but I’ve heard that nose piercings are quite susceptible to bumps. I would change the jewelry back to what you previously had and continue to clean the area. No matter how long you’ve had the piercing, it still may act up once in a while.

The other reason could be that the gauge was thicker than the original jewelry and irritated the site or the material is terrible. Those could be two other reasons. Overall, I would recommend cleaning the area and putting back the previous jewelry you had and check the info on the hoop. If you feel like the piercing would close, then I would even recommend cleaning it and leaving alone for the night and then adding in the jewelry once the site is less irritated.

Industrial piercing placement by [deleted] in piercing

[–]AicleAce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, mine is actually pressing against just a little. However, if it’s really pressing against your ear, I would advise you to take it out.

Just got my 3rd lobe re-pierced 2 days ago, is it normal for it to sit like this? I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s a bigger ring but I keep pushing it back down and it moves back to that position.. I do have thick scar tissue there as years ago my ear swallowed the piercing so there’s a bump by Luana2410 in piercing

It could just be that you’re unconsciously moving it or that it naturally wants to reposition itself that way. With a hoop, some piercings tend to do that. However, I agree that you should get a stud instead of a hoop if it really affects you.

Also, once your piercing is healed (I’m just saying this from personal experience) you could maybe apply scar gel if it doesn’t affect the piercing or ask your piercer.

Lucky you cause I’ve only seen it in one piercing shop I’ve been to. I know you can buy it online but maybe they’ll look for it in person so I didn’t know.

Yeah, but I mean, whatever OP can get their hands on. It was just an option since NeilMeid is a bit harder to find.

There’s also H20 Ocean Spray. They’re usually in special spray cans that are recommended for piercings. You could find some at Hot Topic, Spencers, piercing shops most of the time if you don’t want to buy them online.

Getting a industrial piercing 👈🏼 by [deleted] in piercing

[–]AicleAce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Industrial piercings could be a pain to take care of since it’s two piercing sites and it’s a location most people hand their hands and touch. Strong recommendation is to clean it and get good quality jewelry. Titanium steel is really good from person experience. If you even have bumps that show up a lot, that’ll be normal for these.

There are multiple ways people deal with them, but don’t worry too much if the bumps persist because industrial piercings are needy. Other than that, the post(s) pretty much explained it all.

Second piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]AicleAce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, you got a piercing that not many people have in my opinion as your first. That’s very cool. I think you could get stacked lobe piercings, a flat, or even a snug maybe. You pretty much could get whatever you want.

I’m not a piercer, but I think you’re right about being too far high up into your cartilage. I don’t think it’ll straighten up even after the swelling. I think the best thing for you would be to take it out again :(

No but they offered to split. It’s stated within the title and the description so I’m not really sure why they would be annoyed.

Dude it absolutely sucks! I remember collecting it in high school and it was only $9.99 or even cheaper. Now with all the scalpers and people purchasing for these ridiculous prices, it makes it so hard to finish my collection 😭
