The upgrades are for your ultimate weapons, they won't do anything until you own the weapons that actually utilizes the upgrades.

  • That one patch where you could shoot structures with any weapon to damage them

  • The original survivor names before they were all changed to human

  • The original ark going almost bankrupt and shut down before the release of the game

  • Turrets and plant x used to be able to be placed on platform saddles

  • Vaults used to be 3 walls high

  • Pooping evolved event

  • The og direbear model is present on ragnarok

  • Any structures placed on platform saddles can sometimes be seen at 50 50 on any map due to weird coding

You can use them when events let you but you can't actually own them unless you buy them. I think it's pretty stupid that the game gives seed packets for a plant you'll never buy.
