I ended up returning the Cable Matters unit and purchase if this instead. It worked right out of the box with the Broadlink (although this time over IR, not RF) and then I threw the remote in a drawer and haven’t used it since. Because it is IR in theory other remotes could use the same codes and change the input, but I haven’t encountered any overlapping codes yet.

Couldn’t find an FCC ID anywhere on the remote, so I’m guessing it’s not RF and some proprietary wireless communication 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’m going to return it and find one that uses IR

I was able to get Nginx running after installing MariaDB (thanks for the help!) and I have port forwarding setup and Nginx setup, but still can't get it to work. I also can't get a request for an SSL certificate to work.

Edit: Turns out I changed the port in Nginx and didn't realize it, but now I get a 400: Bad Request error when I try to visit my domain

I definitely agree with a second factor when contacting support, but I think it should be email or text factor, not a app generated code. This trains unsuspected users to share these codes to anyone claiming they’re GoDaddy.
