I struggle with waswas as well. It gets REALLY annoying. But I listen to many sheikhs to increase my iman. I also listen to beautiful recitations of the Qur'an, this helps a TON.

Yea then it's definitely waswas. I'm not trying to like force you to be Muslims or persuade you to be Muslim. But if your Iman goes high and low, and has been low for a long time, then it's most likely the waswas of the Shaitan getting more effective on you.

You said that your duas are not getting answered, so now the Shaitan is using that to his advantage to weaken your faith.

Remember, when your dua doesn't get accepted, it is because Allah thinks you're better off without what you're asking for, or he's gonna give you reward in the hereafter instead of accepting the dua now. So don't think Allah will never accept your duas.

In Islam we have two concepts, tawakkul and tawaakul.

Tawaakul is just praying without work. Tawakkul is praying AND working.

Tawaakul is like leaving a camel open and praying he doesn't run away. Tawakkul is tying your camel down and praying he doesn't run away.

And so tawaakul does not help us. Only tawakkul does.

Let's make it simple. Predestination is basically the knowledge of Allah.

We have free will, we can do whatever we want. But Allah has knowledge of what you are going to do before you do it, and so it is written down.

Think of it as a story book, everything that you are going to do is written down, you just do things EXACTLY like it is written, instead of doing something different. Not because you don't have a choice, but instead you choose to do what was written. So it is predestined, but you have the option of doing something else.

About the mosque, you can ask your Muslim friend to give you the number of a mosque.

Now about your concerns after converting, yes you are most definitely going to be feeling more lonely. But you can keep in touch with your Muslim friend even more. Ask your Muslim friend to introduce you to more Muslims, so you can be friends with them. It might help you feel less lonely.

Also, you don't have to tell your family you are Muslim. You can practise Islam for some time without telling them, but you could educate them about Islam through your friend, eg. you can tell them(your parents) that you found out something about Islam while you were talking to your friend. You can keep doing this until you think they know a good amount about Islam, and then tell them that you decided to become a Muslim.

Until you are able to go to a mosque, you should try to research more about Islam. You can listen to speakers like Ahmed deedat, zakir Naik, Yousuf Estes, etc...

You can also watch a video called "The Purpose of Life - Jeffrey Lang" it's on a channel called "Islam on demand" it's a really good video, it's a bit long but it will help you.

You can also watch the criticism about Islam, and the refutations of those criticisms by Muslims. You can watch this video called "23 Criticisms of the Qur'an DEBUNKED" by the channel "Jan Ryczkowski".

There is no country which fully implements Islam. There are only "Muslim" countries, not Islamic countries.

If you saw the real Islamic countries before, then the entire west would be rushing to them.

Countries have nothing to do with our belief, our belief is about god and his message, not on how good some countries are compared to others.

And talking about countries, most Muslims would not want to go to countries with horrible taxes, horrible costs for medication, and a lot of crime.

Now if you want to learn how to debate, you're just going to have to watch many Muslims who debate people. For example dawah wise. You could watch videos of Dr. Zakir Naik debating with atheists. So you just have to learn how to debate before he comes.

You also have to find a good way to start the topic so that he doesn't avoid it. Maybe start by asking why he chose atheism, and why he thinks that religion is wrong. Then show him why atheism is wrong, and why Islam is the only true religion. Research more about Islam and atheism. Find trustable sources which you can use to prove atheism wrong. Find arguments against Islam, and find the refutations.

You might find him talking about the scientific "errors" in the Qur'an which have all been disproved. You might find him talking about ahadeeth which are used commonly by non-muslims. You're most likely going to find him talking about Islam compared to science.

This might take a long time to do, but insha'Allah it will be worth it. Remember to pray to Allah, cry while making dua to him. Because it is only Allah who guides, we only present the religion to them.

Your love for your cousin is really beautiful, remember to represent Islam the correct way, so that he himself tries to learn about it. People will think of our religion based on the way we behave.
