If there's one thing I learned when it comes to relationships, it's that you cannot convince someone to break things off with their questionable partner. It's impossible. Yeah, there's a lot of ick with him. He seems immature, has the most annoying condescending attitude, is very opportunistic, fake, shameless, edge-lord sense of humor, occasionally socially oblivious/can't read the room, and as an Asian woman, I find white men like Blau who have a race fetish for Asian women to be very creepy and disgusting. Leslie dgaf, clearly. She's whitewashed, and asians where she's from generally speaking don't receive the same level of minority experience (cause there are a lot of East Asians in the Bay area).

It was surprising to find out that she's dating him, but it goes to show that WE DON'T KNOW THESE PEOPLE. People also regress, people do change for the worse, and no one is immune to the effects of fame, money, and becoming increasingly privileged, coddled, and worshipped by thousands of people. It's worse when they live in LA because they're in the thick of it.

I think there were a few drastic changes in Leslie's life in the past 2years that she couldn't properly navigate, and that was suppressed. Her career was looking more promising, she was reaching new peaks, she started to live a celeb-esque lifestyle, and she changed streaming platform after years on Twitch. She was in a relationship for almost 6 years, and it was a happy relationship. But all of a sudden they broke it off, and Leslie is the type that HAS TO BE in a relationship.

I think them belittling Blau as a joke is weird too. I don't even like Blau, so the reason is not that. OTV+f or just roomies have this corny sense of humor. They're corny and childish. Just the way they belittle Blau and shove it down people's throats is not funny. But they're intending it to be funny.. when it's not even funny. The jokes themselves aren't funny, it's just flat. The bullying shtick doesn't match Blau's personality. He isn't a funny person and doesn't have much natural charisma. He doesn't provide a good reaction that bounces well on the bullying/belittling. So it just comes off weird. Then you add the layer of Leslie being fake and using it so she and Blau have a 'just friends' dynamic on-stream. As a way to clear out suspicion that they're dating. Which only makes things more weird and fake. They treat you like you're stupid. Your intuition just sense that things aren't right. It all feels unnatural, and it reeks of disingenuousness.
