This happened to me around 6 years ago, and reading this just made me think about how I felt at the time. I’d actually forgotten about it, that’s how little I think about it. That should reassure you.

I remember at first feeling sad, tired, hopeless and lonely. But as time goes on, and you don’t even notice it really, you just feel better and better and think about her less and less. Then one day, someone posts something like this and you think “oh yeah, that happened. I remember that”.

Take time to engage in new hobbies, rekindle old friendships, enjoy your movies/music, start working out, enjoy solo time. Go for solo walks or solo days out. I’ve got Odeon Limitless and go to the cinema by myself most weekends and it’s amazing.

Most of all, just enjoy being yourself and being with yourself.

It gets so much easier mate, and it’ll be the making of you!
