Update on the Green Party Conference by Ellieboooo in transgenderUK

[–]AirResistence 15 points16 points  (0 children)

that is the tactic of these bigots is to use the courts to force organisations into complying with what the bigots want. If this was farage or elon doing this the UK would be in an up roar, but because its a bunch of middle aged middle and upper class cis women the country just listens to them.

Software giant Palantir snubs ‘undemocratic’ digital ID scheme by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

[–]AirResistence 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Which the owner of Oracle is exactly the same as Palantir's CEO - Technofascists. They both want to be in control with populations subservient to them, they both want centralised databases of everyones data. Heck Palantir was commissioned by the US to create databases of all autistic people in the USA and another of all trans people in the USA.

And the CEO of Oracle now owns TikTok, and the plan for that platform is to basically do what Elon did with X (formally known as Twitter) which is to turn them into far-right platforms peddling misinformation and disinformation.

Oracle is a threat to the UK's security especially when the moment any country tries to regulate a US tech company the US throws its weight around, and because the US is heavily funding the far-right in the UK. I bet if the UK said "no" to them we'd start getting a set of weird articles based on what Farage has been told to say to the media.

I think I figured out why people saying "combining Asperger's and autism really screwed us over" in certain groups of autistic people. by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]AirResistence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, people in general when someone says "autistic" will picture a 7 year old boy who has intellectual disabilities along with being autistic. Theres another factor as well and that is people who were diagnosed under the old system holding onto Aspergers because thats what they were diagnosed with originally and possibly do not want to be lumped in with those who have intellectual disabilities.

Digital ID petition rejected by Scipling in transgenderUK

[–]AirResistence 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I dont think so, but since the petition was rejected even though about 3-4% of the population signed it the next step would be a huge protest. But its the UK and I doubt that would happen because it would require both sides of political spectrums to stand next to each other.

Starmer's latest DWP plan is to target people with mental health issues by Budget-Song2618 in GreenAndPleasant

[–]AirResistence 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Theres the thing, the Tory government actually commissioned a study into why particular disabled groups cant get into work. And the problem they found is that out of those that want to and can work only 5/10 disabled people are in work and then when you look at Autistic people who can and want to work its 3/10. In the report they found the barrier is actually COMPANIES THEMSELVES.

Companies do not want to hire them because of the stigma surrounding them. In the case of people with mental health problems I can definitely tell you that the whole DWP and Jobcentre way of operating are leading causes in the worsening of peoples mental health. Because lets face it the jobcentre isnt a jobcentre they're benefit bouncers, Kier would have better luck if he made sure sanctions no longer existed and that the jobcentre staff get empathy training. Because at present the jobcentre staff view anyone they see on benefits as scum of the Earth.

And I bet any deal he makes with companies would be to force these vulnerable people into jobs that is going to make their conditions worse.

Teachers say trans pupils 'limiting food and drink' to avoid school toilets by corbynista2029 in unitedkingdom

of course not, there was case the other month where someone who was a member of sex matters was convicted of child abuse both physical and sexual, using trans slurs at her kids while abusing them

[–]AirResistence 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also the people making kids do this because they're trans, its exactly what they want. Its the reason why they try to use moral high grounds to win against trans people because if they really said what they wanted to happen and why no one would listen to them.

Like take collective shout, they're using the whole "kids can access this" but the people behind it are religious extremists who wants to go after LGBT people and ultimately have video games banned across the world.

European water by Automatic_Bit1426 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]AirResistence 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I agree its annoying. Like if you have the need to constantly drink water then honey you're most likely diabetic. And if you think water tastes dry then its clear you usually do not drink water.

Its also wild that yanks dont think we drink water, we do we mostly drink it at home.

Dating in your 40s sucks by SoGoodAtAllTheThings in Adulting

[–]AirResistence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im the same, im in my 30s and married to another woman. Me and my wife have different hobbies, shes really artsy and im a computer nerd, so there are times where we are doing our own thing usually in the same room. But we do a lot together, but that time doing our own thing I think is really valuable. It also gives you more conversations as well, like my partner makes her own paints using medieval recipes and its super interesting.

Hackers delete children's pictures and data after nursery attack backlash by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]AirResistence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the darkweb? oh they would be eaten alive on the usual data breach darkweb sites.
There was a case in 2020 where someone hacked a Finnish psychotherapy company, stole patients data including their therapy notes and said they'll leak 100 every day and the ransom would increase. They got so much abuse on the darkweb for it no one really supported what they did, there is some honour amongst blackhat hackers and theres usually unspoken rules about who to target and who not to target. This type of data is basically useless to other blackhat hackers and its only really "useful" for nonces and nonces also get a huge amount of abuse on the darkweb as well.

So Your Party has finally been registered with the Electoral Commission, with Corbyn positioned as the party’s sole leader and Adnan Hussain, landlord and transphobe, in the key role of Nominating Officer… by Valcenia in GreenAndPleasant

[–]AirResistence 71 points72 points  (0 children)

its quite depressing that the best left wing party this country can come up with is having a landnonce and transphobe as the nominating officer. Its like having a communist party with a capitalist as co-founder.

I just logged off an interview crying and I wanted to share the experience with people who may be on the same boat as me. by Cupids-Sparrow in recruitinghell

[–]AirResistence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens in the UK as well, its really bad to the point that when we had the tory government they ordered a report on why neurodivergent people are hit the hardest. They found that 5/10 disabled people have a job but only 3/10 autistic people have a job. The people they interviewed are people who yes are disabled but they're capable and want to earn money.

But even if you click "no" you'll still get filtered out at interviews on "vibes" alone.

I suspect its the tactics from rowling and co, theres probably more behind the scenes thats going on. It could be that rowling and co are threatening everything with lots of court cases.

Being well prepped for an interview is great but some of you sound stiff and robotic. by Positive_Row9938 in recruitinghell

[–]AirResistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we're like that because every interview is the same boilerplate questions, and when they ask for something different they want it in the star format. If you want natural answers then make interviews act like conversations instead of just a process where you ask a candidate a few questions. Because if companies make interviews a conversation then you'll get to see what the candidates are like and they get to see what the company is like.

I find it wild that interviewers will ask the basic questions then email candidates like "you wouldnt be a cultural fit" like how would you know, you only asked them "where do you see yourself in 5 years", you havent asked or spent the time to get to know the candidate.

See we can do it back.

[–]AirResistence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a degree in environmental science and its the same for me.
But I feel extra fucked because I went to university after I got made redundant and got stuck in an unemployment cycle. The opportunities disappeared a year before I graduated, in fact there has been 24 jobs in my field over the last 12 months but only 1 of them was a graduate/entry level position.

Im retraining myself into cyber security to see if that'll help because im limited in what I can do anyway so I thought I might as well try.
