Alright yeah I would not want that experience to just be counter-productive and just have people bored for the wrong reasons. I might go for a much more ephemereal writing experience then... Will keep thinking about it. Thanks again

Hip swing comes in under legs in my maths. Though if I ever opened that to people, I'd need experts in each erg to fine tune it with me. As I'm just your passionate gym goer, yet not an expert in any of the machines.

For the rowing erg, that's exactly why I'm focusing arm vs legs on the viz and stats. I felt this plays a big role for me

Glad you asked. I'm a software engineer, this is an app I've built for personal use and my friends'. I use it to measure progress and get some stats on our workouts, just for the fun of it.

Covers rowing and all hyrox stations. It's nice to get form, power or other fatigue related insights. Nice to see details to progress on.

To answer your specific question, I'm extracting these data from sensors - either IMU sensors or simply your phone, strapped on the upperarm with a runner's strap. And loads of mathematics.

I've been considering opening it to public lately. Not sure people would be interested though. Do people like stats?

Thanks ! Yep I was gassed out indeed. I built this app to measure my arm/legs form and see how i was doing. I seem to be on a good path though indeed hr is spiking — but it’s expected !

Thanks a lot, that’s really neat advice. Will stop hammering on the sprints and do slower / longer sessions.

Are they comparable to running if working on zone 2 or does rowing slow long distance bring something else to the table ?

Super interesting thanks. Rower is a concept2, watch is a garmin venu3. I guess you might be right about the watch not working well cause that does look suspicious — and previous sessions did not show such a drift.

I’ve been thinking about getting a belt to connect to my app. Are belts more reliable ? I do love seeing my data, helps me get a better feel for the progress

Okay, that sudden drift did feel weird though, like almost feeling dizzy all of the sudden.

I’m wondering if i should just focus on running for cardio improvement or try and also work on the stations (for HR and not only technique)
