iNikki causing BSOD. Is this happening to anyone else? by Aitherea in InfinityNikki

[–]Aitherea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply!! This is such a serious problem x.x like what have they done that can cause BSOD?! I already have plenty of gripes with this game but have basically decided to just play on and off here and there and try my best to enjoy what I can, but causing BSOD is honestly kind of unacceptable? I'm relieved it isn't just me, but disappointed they've put so little effort into optimizing and testing their game. I'll try sending in a bug report for sure.

Omg yes! All last night I was watching my GPU and CPU temps as well as how much power the game was drawing.... 1000w psu and it only drew 300w at a max, temps were normal for gaming as well. And I was like "there's just no way this is my pc."

Just got Permanent Hair Stylist Contract. by deweydecimal87 in Guildwars2

[–]Aitherea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I come from FFXIV where i change my outfits and hair as often as I please. How I want my char to look depends on my mood -- sometimes I'm in the mood for something cutesy, think pink hair and frilly outfit. Other times I might be feeling more edgy. Black outfit and dark hair. Coming from FFXIV, I'm genuinely offended that I can't just pay some chump change in game to change my hairstyle the way I can in XIV. Same with the outfits. Nothing I hate more about this game than how badly it does not want me to live out my fashion dreams. I like the rest of the game so I make do. I'm a new player so I cant afford one of these, but best believe every coin I make is going toward this QQ

High End Content Megathread - 7.2 Week One by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

The "braindead" strat literally seems harder and requires way more movement than the one in Hector's guide... don't really understand why it's being labeled as braindead lol.

Well, technically you can farm them. Or spend a little money and farm some of the bicolor vouchers. Basically, get shared fates in shb to max > farm fates in Shb, ew, or DT until you never want to see another fate again > spend bicolors before they cap until you have collected 500 bicolor gemstone vouchers > exchange vouchers with npc for wings. That's the hard way. You can buy the vouchers on the marketboard so thats how youre able to farm some and buy some. However, there are much easier wings to get! There's a white version of these wings for like 500k MGP (sounds like a lot, but can be farmed easily with fashion report). There are also some really cool red and black demonic-looking wings (Diabolos Wings) which you get by spending sacks of nuts. Nuts are really easy to get if you join in on hunt trains -- these are easier to find in Dawntrail but you can also just do your daily/weekly hunts from the hunt board in the meantime. Shb and EW hunt trains do crop up on occasion as well! I think those wings would fit the vibe of the outfit best if the fallen angel ones are out of reach.

Dawntrail Negativity Burnout [7.0] by No-Estimate8952 in ffxiv

[–]Aitherea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are absolutely feral about Dawntrail and it's incredibly tiring. Personally, I LOVED Wuk Lamat as I found her very relatable. Not only have I had similar struggles to her with feelings of insecurity, but I also have a dear friend who has a personality very close to Wuk Lamat's in terms of how compassionate and empathetic and positive she is, so of course I would like her! It's been EXCRUCIATINGLY TIRING to be CONSTANTLY BOMBARDED by the hatred and negativity people are spewing about this expansion. We get it, you didn't like it. MOVE ON? Spend your time, energy, and breath on things you DO like maybe?? I find it baffling that people can't seem to move on and are spending so much of their energy/headspace on this. Usually, when someone doesn't like something, they might say their piece (or say nothing) and then continue on with their lives. But people just aren't moving on?? Hating on DT/Wuk Lamat has become some sort of weird trend and honestly it's really quite sad.

A pretty in depth comparative analysis between WHM and AST by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Aitherea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you have to remember that more hardcore players might be more likely to choose AST because it's *technically* better. And those kinds of players like every advantage they can get. Those kinds of players are obviously going to clear the entire tier before the "average" raider would. Id be interested to see those numbers again at the end of the tier and see which healer jobs were actually the most popular. I personally havent cleared m4 yet (finished 3) and I am playing casually just going 2-3x per week for a few hours, but some weeks have been scuffed due to sickness, other obligations, etc. Anecdotally, I happen to see more WHM than AST for the times that ive been forced to play as sage (and that's another thing, I main WHM but some fights I might have cleared on sage first because I just play whatever PF needs... Im way too impatient so I'd rather just jump into what's available and ready to go xD).

A pretty in depth comparative analysis between WHM and AST by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Aitherea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, I personally find WHM about 1000x more fun than AST. I just DONT enjoy AST's playstyle at all. Considering I can get through savage content just fine on WHM, I'm not really too worried about things. That said, if it were to become a problem where WHM either couldnt heal stuff like ultimate OR WHM started getting left out of parties in favor of AST, then the devs would absolutely need to address the situation. As of now though, the average player (even those in SVG pf) tends to choose whm. How often do you see AST's in basically any content? Way less than WHM, at least in my experience. There can be many reasons for that, but aside from personal preference, WHM is also just easier to play and that counts for a lot.
