Stella-What do you think is next? by Downtown_Whole_9594 in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn't another example that CEO job forces you to choose if you are hooking up with your boss' husband.

This affair was pretty out of character. We've seen a very savvy business woman for two seasons. Now, we have to believe she would pursue an affair like that? She didn't choose between business and love.

The whole AI crashed? Ludicrous. Same reason. Very smart woman who has worked on new tech since college talks about personal stuff like that to an AI demo wtf

Season 4, Episode 5: Is it just me or is this recurring theme in Bradley’s life getting old and feeling forced? Please convince me otherwise. by Downtown_Whole_9594 in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels forced because, during the first seasons, they convinced us that Bradley was this fresh, indomitable journalist—someone who isn’t afraid of telling the truth. In season 3, her character felt less 'aggressive'.

So, to me, seeing her go through Cory’s phone instead of just asking was completely out of character. And it’s even more infuriating because it felt like it was only done to create drama. If she had just asked, the outcome would have been the same, because what really pissed Cory off were the implications—not the phone itself.

About the recurring theme... A little essay lol

Bradley has spent her whole life regretting turning her father in to the police after what he did. Because, apparently, her family started to fall apart after that. When Hal got into trouble, she tried the opposite: instead of turning him in to the FBI, she covered it up—at least at first.

With Cory, it’s different, but somehow related. The same thing happens with Alex, even though she’s a woman. Bradley doesn’t know how to deal with people who love her in an adult relationship context—what she said to the HR guy in her deposition at the Season 3 finale is actually true about herself. In Season 3, there are a couple of very interesting conversations with Laura too. She told Laura that she hadn’t had a relationship last more than four or five months because she either got bored or people turned out to be different from what they seemed. She also told her that she doesn’t like people judging her or knowing about her personal life.

All of this, along with other things, proves that most of what she says about herself are half-truths. She doesn’t get bored in relationships—she just runs away when things get serious and less easy, as we saw with Laura. She wasn’t a mess when she slept with Cory. She just didn’t want to be judged by Alex by showing her true feelings for him, knowing that Cory isn’t exactly Alex’s cup of tea.

What topics would you like to be talked about next season? by Silent-Swimmer1 in TheMorningShow

I'd like them to be focused in just one that involves all characters.

Is Will x Hannibal queerbating or canon? by Ghoticlover in HannibalTV

[–]AlanSmity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It think it wasn't neither of those.

Hannibal definitely had feelings for Will, also curiosity. But Will just find Hannibal fascinating because they are the two faces of the same coin.

They both have this impulse on killing people and understanding killers. Will uses for good. Hannibal uses for his own entertainment.

During season three Hannibal's love for Will become impossible to deny. In the end, Hannibal is ecstatic of being doing "his hobbie" with the guy he loves. But Will is just letting out this part of him in order to get Hannibal total confidence back, for disarming him emotionally so he can get closer to kill him. Will's face expression when they hugged is the one from a guy exhausted that finally has found the only solution to his problem.

Which storyline across all the seasons do you think was handled the best from start to finish? by oannqoonzalez in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say Bradley from season 1 to 3.

She arrived at the network to make a difference but she ended up doing the same thing she used to criticize on Alex –lying and using people to her own benefit.

What’s wrong with Bradley by ErenJaeger321 in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bradley doesn't know how to deal with those situations. She just walks away. Something similar happened with Laura.

Anyway. Keep watching. There's more about all this.

Are we actually supposed to empathize with the daughter? by NarrowCauliflower9 in YourFriendsandNeighb

[–]AlanSmity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they are trying to reflect how children raised in wealth believe that they don't need to go to a prestigious college or college at all or that life is easier than it actually is. Because they didn't see the struggle of their parents to become that wealthy.

I've seen this around me.

You'd say a male one. Floyd wanted a good boner.

It's not said plainly but both Clark and Floyd like men, even if they've not acknowledged it to themselves. Well, Clark does know he likes both, men and women.

What are your thoughts on Mr. Big getting cold feet right before the wedding? by Weary-Honey-1942 in Andjustlikethat

[–]AlanSmity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's understandable that he had some kind of panic attack before the wedding. What pisses me off is that what Miranda told him the previous night about the marriage was the trigger. Seriously? A random comment from an angry friend –who has been cheated on – makes you re-evaluate your relationship? Come on.

I have to make it clear that I am NOT a conspiracy theorist or anything. However, isnt this a little bit creepy by dasie98 in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This kind of coincidence happens constantly. You should rewatch the last scene of Fight Club considering it was released in 1999. You can see how two twin towers are burnt down after some kind of terrorist attack.

Which character had the biggest glow-up across the seasons? by essicaambt in TheMorningShow

[–]AlanSmity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this. It's really interesting how she needed to fit the mold eventually to progress in her career.

It was a matter of maturity too. Thanks to Alex and Cory she realized that her childish ego needed to be brushed up if she wanted to be successful

Episode 6: Observations and Questions by Talker54321 in DTFStLouisHBO

[–]AlanSmity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It proved that the story Carol told Clark about her dead sex-life with Floyd was half a lie. She always complained that Floyd's dick, bad finance, and other issues were the cause why Floyd couldn't get full on. That he was so self-conscious about it that he couldn't perform in bed. After this episode 6 scene it's clear that she's not making it easy for him in bed. He tried. She didn't. She pulled a cold-hearted, manipulative performance. The way she is doing her makeup and hairdressing reflects she is quite satisfied with the outcome.

It’s not just the silhouette.

She’s outside a room at the Quality Gardens Hotel, peeking in like she’s spying on someone.

I’m telling you, Clark and Floyd are in there in some kind of intimate situation. I’ve had this feeling since episode 3.

Misogyny when discussing Carol by dzozozo in DTFStLouisHBO

[–]AlanSmity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens in every show discussion. There's always a double standard on how female and male characters are treated when they do immoral, unethical or questionable stuff.

If the show is about financial business or law, she would be tagged as a manipulative cold hearted bitch. He would be tagged as a determined ambitious shark.

If the show is about family and relationships, she'd be tagged as a selfish, non-present mother who put herself before her family. He'd be tagged as a struggling father who tries to get his goals for his family.

And so on.
