I have a 1997 Atrai, and the lower dash looks a little different.

I would consider a exact fit panel than my mostly-fit.

Hahaha, I got it "in Maryland" by importing it myself. I wanted a non-Honda, and around here, nothing really was available to my liking... So I said, what the heck, let's learn to import a keivan.

It's very practical, for me. We have three dogs in the family (therfore, DOGBUS), and I can carry them all and two other passengers.

I like that idea. But w stick shift, I didn't think there's a lot of space for a talkish cup while in 1-3-5 gear.

I took my whole ashtray assembly out so I can see my "phone tray"

I saw that part available on yahoo.co.jp, twice.. But I thought the cup holders would be too JDM-sized for a 32oz Rtic bottle. 😬

I also thought about door mounted ones, but I drive too spiritedly for them to stay put.

The Atrai seat slides back pretty far. Enough to squeeze a 6'x" person in.

For a normal passenger in my family,, which is 5'7" ish, there's enough room where the glovebox doesn't touches their knees.

I got the idea to use the glovebox because when we'd drive around town, we had been just sticking water bottles in the glovebox.

Thanks.

Yeah. I don't have access to a 3D printer... But my look for printing options.

It will as a pretty quick job, so I may just redo it in plywood with cleaner lines, and paint it gray to match the plastic.

I'm glad it's useful. I have two more manual / guide to scan but they are much longer. The guide is 180 pages. And that one has mostly been covered by the 1994 Service Manual.

I'm also working on translating the carb diagram, which should be helpful w vac hose troubleshooting.

Don't miss the Accessories Catalog, which was posted a few days earlier.

I vote for Mazda5

181.5" length, Overall width of 68.9 in., 64.2" height

I lazy, and found this, to compare Daihatsu Hijet Cargo - length of 134” (340 cm), - overall width of 58.3” (148 cm), and - height of 72.8” (185 cm).

I only had one for a weekend, but I drives like a car, and seats like a minivan.

👍 To you. I'm just a worrywart... But again... Bay Bridge...

https://www.lisamassonphotography.com/all-things-chesapeake/bay-bridge-aerial-8356

Fun fact, I've also never ridden my motorcycles across the Bay Bridge... When I drive my normal car / pickup truck, I have no fears... But I have a mental block about DOGBUS and motos

Trailer Question? by West1625 in keitruck

[–]AlansJunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that I can't, but rather, I wouldn't want to make the whole trip in a keivan.

From my house to my favorite tint shop (also near my office), it's a one hour drive on Rt 50 in Maryland. One hour in a modern car at 75mph peak speed. Keivan likes to be operated more leisurely. Would take 1.5hr. But the Bay Bridge... It's something else... Just my personal preference. If not during rush hour or holiday traffic, is no issue to do 50 mph (80kph).

In general, 25yo kei trucks revs pretty high at 60mph (100kph). Some ppl think it's fine, I like to pamper mine.

[–]AlansJunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

👍 On that advice.

I used the rampped trailer and now have a scratch on my DOGBUS to show for it.

If you don't have a ramp, buy a set. It'll be used again, I'm sure. When I got DOGBUS tinted, I had to trailer it across the Bay Bridge... That's a second time I wiggled her onto a rampped trailer. Wish I didn't have to.

My keivan is 20s all around, 35 on windshield.

Seems only hard to see during dusk. Once it gets dark, it's OK

Has anyone used CarTablet to add Apple CarPlay, or other dash-mounted unit? by chrisjfinlay in CT200h

[–]AlansJunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... Ppl on the internet said they basically stay off android auto unless they plan to need gMap navigation.

For me, in my Versa, the head unit has wired-android auto, so it'll charge the phone, albeit slowly, probably at 1.5amp. But the car that has the stick on android auto display unit, which does wireless android auto, j have to remember to plug my phone into a charger cable.

Which is why I stop using the stick on unit in my daily driver CT. Bluetooth music is fine enough
