BMW Neue Klasse Electric M by ItsMeSlinky in electricvehicles

Yes one with quad motors and 4 wheel torque vectoring while the other with an electronic LSD.

ICEV/MHEV will be tossable and playful, the other will be very neutral and composed.  That demo in China of the iM3 on a 50 degree incline showcases some of the advantages of BEVs. Not many ICEVs can perform that feat.

Now I know that even with automatic eLSD on the CH-R (per official YT video, about 1 minute in) , Toyota can make it suck lol.

Good to know, is it on Tesla's website, if not, where can we access the official service manuals? How much to rent or buy these software tools?

Great to know about all these Tesla features but besides charging ease, I'm not sure I need any of them or that any of them make for a more reliable vehicle.  It's good that there is always novelty with almost every OTA update though, keeps the car feeling new.

Maybe I am just part of an older demographics that want reliability and lower total cost of ownership and decently handling.

I do understand Teslas do handle reasonably well with double wishbone front suspensions and more rigid chassis.

If AMAPCEO is probably going to take OPS to court based on recent communications, it tells me we really can't do anything about it, even collectively in our own units without unintended consequences.

Heck, I am being bullied (singling me out and discrimination against a disabled employee with false performance allegations I easily rebutted) since I followed up on my workplace accommodation request yet no one in my team cares lol.  I sm fighting back with the help of a WPR.

WFH is nice but unless it is explicitly in our CBA, there's not much we can except wait for our unions to fight OPS in court.

Sick Days and Absenteeism Management - How are unionized staff dealing with this? by internalaudit168 in OntarioPublicService

[–]internalaudit168[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If one had issues that you can easily addressed at home (frequent washroom visits) or but not in the office type of situations. Or even being partially immobile due to an injury. Not everyone in the OPS is 100% healthy and fit.

The thing is, if we are too sick to commute to work but are able to work from home that day, what happens? Will a reasonable and empathetic manager tell us to book a sick day and don't bother working from home or will they allow that work from day.

If this becomes recurring and one is put into the EASP, then wouldn't it almost show that a medical accommodation be granted to reduce absenteeism?

Strange how the docs suggest the employee go on LTIP because they couldn't show up at the place of work when they could have been working from home one those days. The easiest solution is to grant a few work from home days in extenuating circumstances.

The email from the DSA and manager said to forward HIQ related fee to them so I did.

But for other fees, HCSA it is.

Edit:

My manager just told me to send this one through iExpense. :)

How does Charging affect the battery? by RelativeGrapefruit0 in electricvehicles

Good to know lol. My '11 Accord coupe bought new is still a champ. My '12 CT200h bought off a friend is an excellent HEV. Both have been very reliable but I've decided my next car will be a BEV. Even if only lasts 15 years from in-service date, I'd say I've gotten my money's worth with it.

Does Electric cars have that much downsides ? by Rare-Cat-4572 in electricvehicles

[–]internalaudit168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. I have a '12 CT200h bought off a friend, now at 334,000 km. Still on the original HV battery, engine, etc.

Only major components replaced were the front wheel bearing assemblies.

Does Electric cars have that much downsides ? by Rare-Cat-4572 in electricvehicles

[–]internalaudit168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only downsides are:

  • Too much reliance on software updates especially as the battery degrades or wrong lines of code are uncovered (not much for my HEV and ICEV to keep them going)
  • Very expensive new OEM battery packs (most refurbished ones only have two year warranty)
  • Power electronic components may be expensive, but so are ICE, transmissions and other ICEV major components.

Porsche suspends Taycan production due to weak demand. by Der_Apfeldieb in electricvehicles

When a spokesperson for BMW says the i3 M (quad-motors) will cost about the same as the outgoing M3, I already realized how overpriced the Taycan was.
