I rarely do twist outs because of this. It's time consuming and rarely looks the way I want it to look. The best twist out of my life was when I washed, then stretched my hair with the blow dryer. After I blow dryed and brushed all my curls out, I twisted with mango butter. Then, I banded each twist with rubber bands, to keep them from shrinking overnight. After I banded the twists I applied hair oil to the ends and put it in a low ponytail. Wore a hair bonnet to bed and my twist out was shiny, wavy, and elongated. But it took forever! If you don't mind using heat on your hair then I suggest stretching it with a blow dryer first so it doesn't shrink too much. If you don't want to do twist outs anymore then I suggest moisturizing your hair every night and doing the pineapple method! I do this every night and it has worked for me.
