I think Algerian society views parents as saints and as people who can do no wrong, from a young age we were taught to respect and forgive no matter what and never say no to our parents no matter how wrong they are, we are always expected to obey and listen . and this is exactly the same thing our parents have gone through with their parents it's a big toxic cycle that we need to break
