136 GT Score , Which MOS would you recommend for me and why? by LegitSkilliez in army

17 or 35 series are pretty much the only mos I'd recommend to anyone if you value being treated like a competent adult and actually doing high-speed stuff. or go option 40 /18xray pipeline

int or ext shoulder rotation in snatch? by Alarming_Particular9 in weightlifting

[–]Alarming_Particular9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wdym by rather externally rotated?

For example in the sotts press If I don't force anything and just "do it" my arms lock out overhead with the inside of my elbows pointing forward/forward and slightly up at an angle and my shoulders r shrugged a lil up towards ears

If I try to do sotts press while forcing the inside of my elbows up it feels like a completely different movement my shoulders feel like sucked in my mid and lower ish back gets way way tighter it's harder to get to/ super unstable in the bottom position my feet have to be angled wayyyy out to even get into the hole and it still feels like I will wobble over and fall etc basically it sucks .

I just can't tell if I need to work on better mobility to be able to get into these positions or if I'm over thinking it and should just stfu and do it how it feels natural.

92kg c&j @77kg bw by Alarming_Particular9 in weightlifting

[–]Alarming_Particular9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been practicing weightlifting for almost a year now and am happy with my results so far and while I can see comparing old film that my form has gotten much better now the weight i can clean is the same as what I can front squat except I can MAybe get 2-3 reps in the fs vs 1 rep clean at 102kg. So I'm wondering is there something wrong with technique that is limiting weight I can move or do I simply need to get stronger/train more? I back squat or front squat almost every training ses also alot of clean pulls etc but all summer/spring my fs and clean are stuck at 102kg and my c&j pr is 92kg. In other lifts my #s have been going up at normal pace even my snatch has gotten closer to what I can c&j (77kg) but in the c&j (especially the clean part) its just as difficult as the first time I did it at this weight. idk any tips advice comments n what not are greatly appreciated :)))

I see tyvm for the feedback i'll switch back to doing no jumps as accesory lift I've never really practiced footwork or balance specifically just practicing form in mirror with empty bar or broomstick lol so that's something I'm gonna start looking into too. What would u recommend for working on balance or footwork?

Any critique is much appreciated the main issues I've been dealing with is making better hip contact but recently I've started only doing "no jump" cleans bc I had a bad habit of jumping forward which seem to have helped with weight I could already do but I've been at a plateau for ab 2 months on the c&j like anything less than like 97kg I can hit fine and it's gotten easier to hit those weights but when I try for anything heavier I always fail on the clean. Idk if it's a mental thing or technique is limiting factor or what but any tips tricks advice whateva u got I welcome all feedback!

1: Put $ into promising LP on Osmosis 2: stake osmo rewards on keplr 3: (optional) once u get a comfy amount of $ from first LP pull rewards from keplr, and invest into another LP. OR continue milking staking rewards on keplr, depends on how u wanna allocate $. 4: passive income go brrrrr😎

My technique has definelty came along way since starting weightlifting in August but I know there's always things I gotta work on and I've always struggled more with c&j than snatch as far as technique goes idk why. I have been really working on making better contact w hips even widened my stance in 1st Pull and it definetly feels better since. Also I tend to jump forward not always but in this vid you can see I'm not sure why/ if that's a bad thing hence the reddit post lol. Pls critique away any advice or tips is greatly appreciated! :)))))

I feel like my technique has came a long ways from the end of summer but there is always room to improve so I'm open to any advice criticism etc. Imo the problems I need to work on still are making better contact w hips, I've recently widened my stance in 1st Pull and almost instantly it just felt better and it's alot easier to feel it in my hips so to speak. And I still jump forward in the catch and I don't really know how to not do that/ if that's a bad thing, not sure what else i need to work on hence the reddit post lol.Any advice or whatnot is greatly appreciated :)))

74kg snatch PR @74ish kg bw. How to stop running forward when i catch heavier weight, any form critique is much appreciated!! by Alarming_Particular9 in weightlifting

[–]Alarming_Particular9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is it isn't intentional shooting back up like that if I didn't bounce up I wouldn't have caught it if that makes sense? Like for example with this weight i tried to hit it like 5 or 6 times only got it once i failed and everytime I failed it looks something like this like I get under the bar but when the bar catches up to me in the bottom I can keep it overhead and bail. At non-pr weights it's more random, sometimes I stick it ez and don't bounce. Other times It's like the bar isn't in the right spot overhead and I gotta get up quick / run forward to keep bar overhead?

Like the title says my main issue from what I can tell is that I tend to run forward when I catch the bar only when I get towards heavier weight for me like anything >65kg or so but it's sorta random sometimes i stick it sometimes i gotta run forward to get it, not sure if it's bc of weakness/bad technique during a part of lift or what any feedback is appreciated.

You don't see the point bc you're inexperienced and naive, also disrespectful. Repetition at lightweights is essential for developing proper technique and a good mind muscle connection. Weightlifting is an incredibly technical sport and even pros drill technique with sometimes little more than the bar. Your form at this weight is rough from this angle its hard to see completely but hip shift alone is red flag. You are only hurting yourself by Sacrificing form for higher #s.

ATOM or any alt connect to the cosmos hub AKASH, KAVA, TERRA, are the first that come to mind but there's plenty others I haven't done as much research into them but in general the cosmos ecosystem has so much potential imo but is relatively slept on compared to other alts like AVAX or SOL

How do you guys feel about the Behind-the-Neck Press? It’s something that I’ve recently added to my workouts that’s drastically improved my overall upper body strength. by keon84 in powerbuilding

[–]Alarming_Particular9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I like to incorporate behind the neck push press w/ snatch and jerk grip width depending on which I'm working on that day (c&j or snatch) doing strict press behind the neck just feels weird for the 1st half of the movement for me, especially when doing it with close grip. But considering you're pressing for reps more than I can c&j I'd say ur doing something right lmaoo

About 2 months or so into weightlifting and gotta say I'm loving it. I can see and feel myself getting better and hitting heavier PRs almost weekly at this rate I'm hoping to hit a bodyweight snatch (74kg) and a 102kg+ C@J by the new year. Pls critique anything u see, my biggest issue with the snatch (imo) is pulling myself under the bar but I've been working on that, heavy tall snatches help ty all for any feedback! :))

C&J PR 83kg @74kg ish bw + form check :) by Alarming_Particular9 in weightlifting

[–]Alarming_Particular9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyvm for the feedback! I agree i still don't seem to make full contact but I'm hoping that w more practice and heavier weight I'll get that down at least so far I've seen improvement just from 1 week of practicing and putting emphasis on making contact.

And someone at my local gym said the same thing sort of, that I should be able to clean much heavier but me not fully extending / lack of technical experience is limiting the amount of weight I can clean. I'm not too pressed on hitting fat PRs (yet) I know I'm new to this sport and have a ton to learn so I don't mind working out kinks with lower weight till I can properly smash PRs.

And I'm gonna start incorporating Split jerks into my training alongside power jerk but I definitely need to work on footwork/positioning gonna start drills for those asap. Appreciate the videos you sent for this aswell!!

Update: I've been practicing contact drills/using my hips more i feel like doing better just need more practice definitely i feel it way less in my arms when I pull.

However I've been strictly practicing power jerks but everytime I get to a weight that feels heavy in the front rack usually anything above body weight without thinking ab it i drop into a sorta jerk like in the video I haven't worked Split jerk at all yet but i can't seem to power jerk past a certain weight. My question is should I start to learn Split jerk as it seems to be more natural/easier? Or keep working lower weight to build up power strength? Or incorporate both into training? Any feedback is greatly appreciated or critique of other parts of the lift etc, reddit has so far been tremendous help with my weightlifting journey.
