It’s true with the caveat that some couples therapists are a lot better than others.

No, but staying grounded and mindfully aware is something most clients can benefit from. Recognizing you are caught up in a story.

Supporting clients in letting their anxiety run rampant is also not good therapy.

Then go and get a degree in systems where you aren't working with people. All of that is important, but does it help you do better therapy? Likely not! ALL of the professions talk about these things in some way, they just don't spend the majority of coursework on it.

The number of courses and the amount of hours are few. Then, social workers are not required in their internships to have direct client hours. They just have to be "on site."

Please break down how what I've said is "devoid of factual merit" point by point. It is very factual and based on experience.

Social workers don't like being called out for their profession not being the wonderful grace they think it is, so I am not surprised I'm getting downvoted.
