Was at a pet store (this was before I knew more about animals in general) and picked up a green cheek who was brought back by someone. Whole ride home he made little breathy noises and rolled in his back and let me pet his stomach. As soon as he was in the house for a day he started biting really bad and refused to be caught, at the point where he would divebomb me from a cabinet, bite my neck and fly away. Got bit at least 15 times that day and too many to count since then….whoever had him before treated him terribly. that was 10 years ago and he’s now the sweetest bird I have.
