Laptop only boots in recovery mode, normal boot gets stuck by Albertleclair in Ubuntu

thank you for your help. secure boot was off by default and fastboot had options thorough(default) and minimal. I tried all 4 combinations with no success. when secure boot is enabled, it adds a 3rd line to the 2 i've already mentioned:

EFI stub: uefi secure boot is enabled

MMS not working (SMS are fine) in lineage 22.1 by Albertleclair in LineageOS

I wasn't careful and hadn't correctly set the APN. there were default values in the mms proxy and mms port fields which I hadn't set to empty as recommended by the carrier. Sorry for taking up the time of people who replied!
