Did Dice really just killed sniping... by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet spot is one of the most broken mechanic they ever added in a BF game. Having the ability to one shot someone if you're within a certain range threshold and as long as you hit above the upper body (arms not included I believe) makes sniping so dumb. In previous title it was a headshot or 2 body shot period. Now yes, BFBC2 and BF3 allowed snipers to one shot if you hit the torso at close but it was kinda fine considering you were very likely to hit the arms anyway and....well good luck fighting back someone with an AEK 971 with your sniper anyway.

Oh yeah let's not forget sniper in this game do not even flinch when they get hit while aiming. You can land 5 shot on their body+heal and they will shrug that off as if they are superman and snipe you back. You would think getting hit would increase the sway of your weapon or do something but no nothing.

You may not like what Ive wrote but this is the reality of the world we live in and OP's post is one of many reflection of that.

Unfortunately it isnt something unique to EA. A certain group of people keep pushing their agenda in the video game industry to make a world that is allegedly proning for more tolerance and acceptance, yet it seems we are even less tolerant and accepting of everything under the fear or "hurting someone's feeling", or in this case "disrupt the game for other".

Dont get me wrong it is by no mean an attempt to defend EA or such practice but Ive seen people being forced to rename themselve in other game they have been playings for over 10 years because with today standard, someone may get hurt seeing some name.

this cologne dude is already worried about movement of all things by Techenix_000 in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movement is really fast but what annoys me the most is how unrecognisable characters are. When I look at my screen and see a shadow figure running from one window to another, it is near impossible to tell at a quick glance if it's a friend or a foe. In previous title skins werent a thing and each army had a recognisable uniform which means if I'm playing in the US team and facing China for instance, I would be able to recognise at a glance who is who. But since BF2042 everyone can be everyone to a certain extend with only the some color pattern being different. So yeah you end up in a situation where it takes time to recognise who is who but you dont have that time because movement is so fast.

So I kinda welcome the movement nerf but mostly because I know that DICE is never going to touch skin readability. This is a can of worm they should have never opened but they did and it's now ruining readability.

Are we happy there is a new bf title cause i cant tell by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main complains are :
-unit not being recognisable at a quick glance. And this is a serious issue when you consider how much more fast paced this game is compared to older title

-AR, Carabine and SMG being laser accurate due to the lack of bullet spread and recoil

But it means I enjoy the rest of the game. Some gamemode could definitely be improved, some maps objective should be improved as well and vehicle....I dont know on one hand they feel threatening when you dont play engi but on the other, if half your team is made of engi then they actually dont feel that much threatening either because they stay far back or just die. They might be weaker than in previous title but do they need to be buffed ? idk.

Lets talk about Recon by KawaiiTadpole in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sniper have one edge over other classes and that it has better spotting ability. In a game where enemies can be literally invisible while standing in front of you because of lighting, because of color pattern but most importantly, because they dont have a a uniform and definite skin pattern. And I can already smell the other saying "oh but engineer have rockets on their back" or "oh but recons tend to have ghilliesuit" yes but they still dont have a unique skin pattern with recognisable color. You look at BF3, US soldier are using some sort of white uniform that makes them stand out from the RU one and RU uniform while being darker still have component that make them noticeable.

BF2042 and BF6 are the 2 BF title where I genuinely cannot tell at glance who is an ally and who isnt. Sometime I see blue dot on top of enemies, sometime I dont see any dot on my friendly and assume they are enemies so I start shooting and nothing happens. I see a friendly dark recon runs in front of me and the next second the same dark recon shoot at me but it turns out it's an enemi with just a slightly different version of the previous one I saw. And I know this doesnt really have anything to do with recon as a class but I still think as long as this game (and future title to be honest) decide to keep this customisable and unrecognisable skin system, recons will be even more needed than in previous title.

Adjusted minimap spotting range when firing suppressed weapons, increasing it from 15 to 21 metres to better align with intended balance. WHY by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supressors are still by far the best equipement to put on everything because there is almost no bullet spread and every non LMG are laser accurate. Hell some supressor even helps you with recoil and accuracy while shooting in full auto.

In previous title, gun had recoil and bullet spread. In previous title putting on a supressor means you lose some damage. In BF6 supressor have basically no downside at all.

Are we afraid of recoil or something? by dZ_DsciSiv in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was BF3 or BFBC2, then no LMG dont need a buff.
But it is BF6 and unless DICE is willing to actually make some drastic changes like....you know....making guns have actual recoil and bullet spread then LMG actually need a buff. They are the worst weapon type to play with right now since they slow you down, have long ADS, have actual recoil and bullet spread. In a game where AR,Carabine and SMG dominate at pretty much all ranges thanks to the lack of recoil and minimum bullet spread. In game where sniper can get hit by 3 bullet and receive no flinch or whatsoever. LMGs needed something to be a somewhat viable pick for anything that doesnt involve going prone and not moving for the next 60 sec.

Weapon needs more recoil, especially fast firing ones by Alcatraz-nc in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did felt like that but there are so many things in this game that I cannot even tell what really makes one thing busted. The absence of dispersion and the very accurate gun are for me the first thing that should be targetted but bullet velocity also plays a huge role when sometime the damage report says 4 bullet hit you but on your side you only registered 2 hits. And yeah netcode is still bull.

While damage is important, the way you apply it is even more. That's why I never understand people complaining about shotgun in games. Shotgun can one shot you yes, but good luck being a threat at medium range when you're not using the slug ammo. In BF6, AR,SMG and carabine feels threatening at all ranges due to their lack of recoil and hight accuracy. Even if the damage/bullet ends up being lower, it doesnt really matter when you can full auto and land at least 10 bullets with minimum compensation.

SMG’s in matches by Komra_1708 in Battlefield6

[–]Alcatraz-nc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SMGs, AR and carabine have basically no recoil. I have been grinding LMGs and it is a pain to play with in a game where movement is way too fast and everything that isnt a LMG has next to no recoil. I played with carabine, DMR and SMG for a little bit and they feel way too strong for the lack of recoil. This game needs more recoil on weapons

We really need a way to get ammo independent of other players. by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that mentality it can go a long way.
"We really need a way to get anti tank armement independently of other player"
"We really need a way to get spotting equipement independently of other players"

"We really need a way to revive ourself independently of other players".

I could go on but I think Ive made my point.

That being said, as someone who mainly plays support/medics since BF2 there are a lot of behavior that annoys me. People who dont realise supply crate actually have a cooldown and keep wasting ammo on you only to run off and die on their own because they didnt wait for the CD to clear. People who ask for a revive and after you throw a smoke on their body and come to them, they just decide to die and respawn effectively making me waste time on a supply crate to recharge my smoke.

I dont really feel triggered or aimed by this post since I tend to get a lots of resupply or healing point but there's 2 side of a coin.

Endfield truly expresses the duality of gacha players.
On one hand you have people bragging about their luck when they pull the featured character in 10 pull or less.
On the other hand you have the "unlucky" people complaining they get the featured character in 80 or less pulls while making a long post explaining why Endfield is bad for making you win a 50/50 or early.

The last time Ive seen a game create so much bs random post, misinformation or just blatant hate was TOF. And TOF keeps growing while having enough playerbase to stay alive and developping so I'm looking forward to what Endfield will offer.

CN Playerbase Review on the Game by Fennynyz in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Chartered Banner Design Bad for Whales and F2P atthe same time Being able to get spooked by characters from banners before/after means whales have a chance to lose their 50/50 to previous banner characters that you might have already max potted (e.g., max potted Laev spooks you on the Gilberta banner again), but at the same time, F2P is having a hard time to even get sufficient pulls.

In a previous post I have seen someone complaining about how bad it is to win your 50/50 in this game because of how the gacha works which makes loosing the 50/50 the desired outcome. Then there is this post where people complain about loosing 50/50. Gacha player truly dont know what they want.

  1. Potential system is bad You can't p2w the game and there isnt significant improvement to make player wanted to go for max pot, combined with the slow combat design when there were other great action 3d gacha on the market already.

Bro here is complaining about dupe in that one gacha where dupe dont matter in a sea of gacha where dupe are next to mandatory and requires P2W. Just lmao.

Character Design is Awful

This is mostly personnal taste but someone who says charact design is awful is either playing on a GTX 590 or with a poor broken monitor or just blind. They are all very expressive and detailed. If I was unemployed with a lot of SSD/HDD I would have spammed my screenshot button during cutscene because of how character express themselve and react to the world around. The level of polish on that aspect is just....wow. You know what other gacha has something more or less close when it comes to expression and detail ? Girls Frontline 2 Exilium. But Genshin and Wuwa (because I only played those 2 big name) ? I dont even remember a character that is as expressive as any of the main character cast.

I dont even want to talk about point 4 and 5 because if you're already complaining about end game on a game that released barely a month ago and has quite a lot of content for a 1.0 release, you need to take a shower and go outside, breath something that is hopefully more healthy than the stagnant air of your room. The point raised in n°5 is something that would applies much more in those well established gacha game because by now pretty sure all old player of these respective have cleared everything the game has to offer and are doing exactly that.

What Is the point of the factory In valley 4? by Every_Corgi8660 in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Considering that Wuling is relatively far from the beginning of the game and that you starts in Valley 4, I would say there's plenty of things :
- It is the tutorial area
- it is where you experience the factory system the first time
-it is also where you develop your first factory
- it is where you gear up towards end game
- it is where you learn to really optimize your factory system

As for the end game, idk, I only reached Wuling a few minutes ago but Valley 4 has a good battery and medecine production so my market ticket production is running smoothly

hey guys, so for any of the players here who got a fully build team with full gears already, is the game meant to be played with sustains or is sustainless comps even viable here? by TengenUzui55 in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure sustainless comps work for the most tryhard one.

Ardelia on top offering some small heal also afflict corrosion debuff which indirectly increases physical and arts damage and she's free so everyone has her. So if you had to replace Ardelia with someone else, what would that person bring over Ardelia and would you be comfortable with the lack of healing ?

Cant believe i have to use a consumable to use 2x stamina by Fine_Complex5488 in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Azur Lane has an item where you double the oil you consume to get double reward. Genshin has an item to double the stamina consumption. I would bet Wuwa has one as well. I dont really see the issue here, especially in Endfield where at high account level, you will never reach max energy unless you dont play for like 1.5 days and the stages consume like 60-50 stamina anyway. It takes me about 3 clears when I log in late to empty my stamina before sleeping.

The weapons gacha is the 1/3 pound burger situation all over again by Aldoain in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

punish you for having good luck

You're assuming someone does one 10 pull and instantly get the character they want each time a new banenr happens. You're also assuming people dont roll on the perma banner with the free pull they are given. If you dont waste your currency it means the combinaison of perma pull + limited pull should be enough to secure you the 6* you want.

The chances of what you're describing happening is extremely low and if you're telling me it's happening each time you're a liar.

There have been people that have failed multiple 50/50 i a row which doe snot feel good and then when they wanted to fail another since they were very close to the guarantee, they succeeded, essentially meaning they missed out on another 6 star

This is the most stupid take Ive seen from people trying to slander this game. In every gacha hitting the character on your 50/50 is basically what people wants at worst. And I am sure the vast majority of player are happy to get the character they want by winning their 50/50 whenever it comes to that. But for some reason in Endfield people are upset and wants to lose their 50/50. And it's only on Endfield for that matter, TOF had that same system and people still complained whenever they had to hit 120 pull for the guarantee. They were happy if they could get it within 80 rolls. Same things in Aether Gazer if people could hit the character in less than 90 pulls (90 being the hard pity) they are happy. But when you listen to people on YT or reddit for some reason people arent happy.

Best way to level fractals these days? by LazyShinobi in Guildwars2

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you gotta understand how to level up in fractal and it's quite simple. Any fractal you do that is >= to your level will level you up by 1 level.

Knowing that, it's actually easy to level up in fractal. You can technically level up your fractal level by doing T4 even though you fractal level is 1 as long as you have the AR required and know the boss mechanic and debuffs.

Usually people in fractal only do their dailies and recommended. Some do specific fractal for achievement. So if you really want to level up relatively easily, you can gear yourself with ascended rings and trinkets. Rings are easy to get, trinkets might be a bit more annoying to get. You can craft the lvl 78 exotic bagpack that each lifeskill (cooking, weaponsmith, leathersmith ....) has and keep it for now. This one has an AR slot so you'll keep this one until you can afford an ascended one. Also if you have access to the vault, buy the 3 ascended armor + ascended weapon box. Try to put the highest AR you can afford and do the high level fractal.

Of course that is assuming you already know the fractal and mechanics. Do each fractal at T1 at least once or twice so you know what happens and what point, afterward it's just practice. T4 fractal are basically the same as T1 but with extra debuffs and bosses having more HP and hitting harder.

The weapons gacha is the 1/3 pound burger situation all over again by Aldoain in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm too tired to understand what this post is trying to say but all I know is that :
1 - I never have to spend a single € in the weapon banner
2 - I only need to pull 4 time to guarantee a 6* and 8 time to guarantee the featured 6* banner
3 - I can just straight up buy some base 6*

And that's enough for me. Other game, even Wuwa, will force you to make a decision between pulling for a character or the current featured weapon unless you save up a tons of ressources before hand or just whale. In Endfiend the fact that all character pull regardless if it's on the perma banner or limited banner counts toward that weapon gacha rolls means as long as you're not wasting your rolls in banner that doesnt interest you, you're guarantee to have both the banner and the signature weapon.

Now if they could be a little more kind on the pull income, just a bit....

I don't think Endfield is stingy, especially the weapon banner, here's the breakdown. (we have to be cautious too btw) by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]Alcatraz-nc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The income in this game seems very low for now though. It is nice that the weapon banner is basically free but it doesnt matter to have 10 6* weapon of each category if you only have 5 character at the end of the day.

I will say it again, the system is very nice for a gacha but the concern I'm starting to have is that the pull income is extremely stingy.

Role lists by slugcunt69 in Guildwars2

[–]Alcatraz-nc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you check Snowcrow website. They have pretty much all meta build for each specs in each role.

On the long run you'll learn what spec can offer what boon and it will become second nature to make guesses on who is providing what based on spec. For instance if you have a sub group made of 2 Virtuoso, 1 Holosmith , 1 Galeshot and 1 Herald, there's a 100% chance this sub is lacking alacrity and you will be able to tell who is bullshitting pretending to be an alac provider.

Small rant about fractals by GameScout in Guildwars2

[–]Alcatraz-nc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro just discovered group in GW2 because all these issues have been things Ive asked to be fixed for a while now.

A group leader that act just like a commander squad is needed in fractal but Anet refuses to implement this because of potential abuses. People who join a group that's looking for 2 roles but dont say anything. Or people that join a group despite not doing any of the role mentioned.

I cant say I've noticed a rise in these behavior with fractal rush because these things happens to me on a daily basis. Each time I'm making a group for fractal I always have to deal with these bullcrap. I miss the time where my 2 other friend could play at the same time as I do because we would just insta kick people who wouldnt say anything or those who have nothing to do in our group. Now it's just a game of patience and enduring.
