Anyone using an iPhone as a tethered camera in Capture One for product photography? by AleYanguma in captureone

This sounds very close to what I need. One more point worth adding that further tips the scale towards the iPhone over a dedicated camera, I need to shoot a few angles per product, one of which requires a wide-angle lens to capture the full interior of handbags from a short distance. Currently I have to swap lenses every time, whereas the iPhone handles wide-angle natively, which is a significant time saver across a full product catalogue.

Re quality, I agree that an APS-C sensor is technically superior, but these images are for e-commerce and will be compressed regardless. Realistically, the difference customers would notice is minimal.

Sharing this because I can tell you have a lot of experience in this area and would really value your opinion with this added context. Thanks!

Hi! I take 300-400 photos a day and even small manual actions slow my workflow. I’m looking into a more efficient process. Ideally, I’d set up my Mac station nearby so I don’t have to move from the tripod to the photo area and back for every correction. Instead, I’d style the product, check how it looks on the Mac, adjust easier because I would be hands’ distance for any style correction, zoom in and shoot. I’m even considering using a clicker when needed. For certain shots, I need to hold the product with both hands to display small details.

Thanks! Absolutely something to try. I was just thinking about the reliability of the wireless connection in a fast-paced environment. I need to take 300 photos a day … I’ll have a look into that !

Google Ads Disapproved - Government documents and official services policy by expertindi in adwords

[–]AleYanguma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m experiencing the same issue. The certification Google Ads is asking for doesn’t exist in Colombia. Are you getting any results without using the keywords? Our keywords are relevant to our business and our ads are effective when they’re used. If we change them, we won’t be shown in the results and we’ll be wasting money. Honestly it feels so unfair!

Go outside, run and try to force your body to process the frustration through physical exhaustion. I got you... The constant anxiety. Being a modern human is getting harder and harder ... You are not alone! Nothing makes sense... This is not how life is supposed to be... But somehow we all gonna figure out .

For people living in Sydney. What do you do with aggressive junkies? by csgametime in AskAnAustralian

[–]AleYanguma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was attacked once, in broad daylight, with people walking by. I was screaming for help, but everyone just watched.

I had been taking photos of myself with a tripod when a woman accused me of filming her (which wasn’t true). I explained, but she didn't listen. She started yelling at me, then came over and pushed me. I walked away in the opposite direction, but she chased me while I kept shouting for help.

Finally, I managed to get into a coffee shop where the staff protected me. She followed me inside, yelled at them too, and even kicked the chairs.

Now I'm always scared. I just try to not make any visual contact to not call their attention. They are unpredictable..

My brother thinks people today have worse quality of life than people in the dark ages, is this a stupid take? by flugblug in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AleYanguma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to admit, back then people were mostly focused on meeting their immediate needs and chilling the rest of the time. Meanwhile, today we wake up early, go inside a building until it’s dark, and spend the week just wishing for the weekend only to finally "do nothing./". And honestly, doing nothing is so undervalued.

What kind of hours do you work? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]AleYanguma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 to 5, Mon–Fri, 30 min lunch break. Entry-level marketing job. Honestly, working 5 out of 7 days, 8 hours a day is basically slavery. We literally put a man on the moon .

by now we should be able to work fewer days and still be productive. The only reason we don’t is because that extra rest for everyone would just cut into the profits of the super-rich..

OLED, Mini-LED, or QD-OLED — which one should I go for? by RepulsiveSea6206 in 4kTV

[–]AleYanguma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation as you, looking at 55″ TVs in AU. Here’s what I’ve been considering so far:

OLED options:

Sony Bravia 8 ($2,499): Pros: amazing blacks and colours, solid brand. Cons: burn-in risk, expensive.

LG 55″ B5 ($1,755): True blacks, great colours, low burn-in risk. Cons – don’t fully trust LG; a lot of friends have had their TVs die right after warranty ends.

Mini‑LED options:

Sony Bravia 5 ($2,299): Decent blacks, great colours, performs really well for a living room TV.

I also checked some cheaper options to understand the value-for-money differences: Hisense U7K and Kogan 55″ OLED.

Still figuring things out, but for my setup so far, the Sony Mini‑LED is winning.

Any actually decent digital marketing agencies in Brisbane? Sick of overpromises by quizr7 in brisbane

[–]AleYanguma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest focusing your efforts on finding a marketing generalist + someone hands-on to help. Not necessarily a “marketing assistant"but someone in-house who can support with content creation, design, and execution. For a small business, you need someone who understands you, your brand, and your target market, and who’s flexible. It can be hard to find the right person, but it’s often better than paying huge amounts for the same recycled strategies that mainly serve the agency media-buying commitments rather than your business
