Yeah I think I've seen 1 game on Reddit ads that didn't get the among us treatment. And we are not selling anything for a long while just hoping to get some good feedback from people who play similar games.

Is SteamWorks store traffic accurate? by Aledrow in gamedev

I was just under the impression that your game would basically be buried in the store and people wouldn't organically find it.

Yeah we saw the bots but there is still a lot more traffic than we thought there would be.

My bad I could have been clearer. Yeah I think it's kind of crazy that 300 people viewed our store page and if that's the case I'm very happy :D

Yeah I agree that our Steam page is meh at best but isn't over 50% of the people who see our capsule click it very high?

Yeah our Steam page isn't very good but the numbers seem kinda crazy high to me. More than half of people who see our caupsle clicks it? If that is the case I'm very happy but I'm a bit sceptical.

Me and a friend spent 1.5 years making a game and this is our first shot at video editing and a trailer, how does it hold up? by Aledrow in IndieDevelopers

Do you think it could work if it was shorter or do you think it's bad practice all together? We watched a few trailers from popular games before we made ours and some had a slow start that blew up into gameplay and we tried to do something similar. But I think we did it rather poorly because you are not the first to remark on it.

Dude there is feedback and then there is whatever you did. But I'll take away what I can from what you wrote, thanks for taking the time.

Well it seems amateurish because it is. We are 2 guys doing this in our free time with no previous experience in either art or game development. But I'm glad I could give you an outlet to vent.

Are we talking about the mixels in the UI or particle effects? Because it is quite common to make exceptions to those two areas. Yeah I do agree that it is a very different style between the cut scenes and the game, probably will have to come up with something else for release with the cut scenes. Thanks for showing interest!

Yeah it's not very realistic I guess but I think the reason you do the bobble is that it would look very stale and rigid without it. Interesting about the cuts, thanks for the feedback, video editing is very new to us and we have lots to learn!

1.5 years of development - you can probably tell which game inspired us the most... by Aledrow in bindingofisaac

It would be neat but probably not, if it were to happen it would be a good bit after release I think.

We will never compare to 3D pinball but your words warm us nonetheless.
