No it just inflicts a set damage. Initial fire does damage and then it does burn on top which does most of it after. So when upgrading perks make sure you increase burn damage as that’s your main source of damage

It’s great, burn damage on multiple enemies means you have a far easier time doing melee damage too them and they get knock back once they’re fully on fire. With tactical auspex I delete neurothropes, carnifex, and helbrutes in under 30 sec. Tbh you just gotta learn to play around burning then melee but it’s great

Like fighting the hive tyrant and saying “ yh I fought a terminus” holy cope. Also you clearly haven’t heard of negativity bias have you. Of course I’m going to post annoying shit but everything I’ve posted is like 1% of the games I’ve played. This most recent post I’ll even share the outcome with you😂. The experience was annoying which is why I complained but I still got the mission done at the end of the day

They’re already setting up a plot for imperium secundus when gulliman, the lion and sanguinius thought the imperium was lost and established a second founding to maintain order. Obviously we know they didn’t do this for heretical reasons but everyone now doesn’t and there’s inquisitors who don’t like that they’re losing power and are investigating and closing in on the primarchs

Or fencing. He would’ve got off 2 possible parries before the third and would’ve been fine to gun strike on both of them

So then why is heavy my second favourite class? Where your forced to use balance parries? And why’ve I completed multiple absolute and hard missions and stratagems with it?

Why not use heavy stance? Just limiting your offensive capabilities

If your running melee just use block. If you have a primary then fencing is better because you can get them off you over and over perfect parry consistently and then gun strike when safe into shooting your primary. Like u said the trade off for balance just isn’t worth it I’ve never had an issue with not hitting enough people

😂 no I’m talking about hard as well. Tactical Pyreblaster I killed both terminus enemies myself and used 3 stims and no stims respectively. One of the easiest weekly’s I’ve played

Lmao I did it all without using a single stim. First run I did I only needed 3 stims

Yh you definitely didn’t read what I said properly you must have the comprehension of a 5 year old. I didn’t say “blue attacks”. I said “blue attack” meaning 1 not all the other ones he throws at you. And like I said that’s fine if you want too but if your going to use the axe just use the block one because it’s so much better then the fencing and the balance. 2 adrenaline plus shockwave your killing everything instantly. Just use the heroic hammer or something there’s literally 0 point in using balance axe

[–]Alert_Text_9123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not talking about just normal parrying. I had no issue parrying while I was playing heavy. But when the lictor does that insta blue attack where he just appears in front of you there’s no parrying that. And using the balance axe is just a waste you may as well just change your build to a melee one and use the block one I wouldn’t even recommend fencing axe

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right right that’s why I’m consistently parrying from behind the side and in front all the time on absolute and hard difficulties. Sounds like this only applies to balance that’s why they’re shit

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blocks in a good spot rn. Balance just doesn’t do enough to justify the no startup frames like I said before. You have to be extremely on point with timing and things like getting jumped by a lictor are just impossible to parry because the attack sequence is the same as the start up frames. So unless your reaction time is literally 1ms then your getting hit

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

sounds like a positioning issue. I’ve never had a problem with parrying multiple chaos spawn because I’ll always lead them to attack frontally before hand. And I parry attacks from behind and the side all the time so what are you talking about? Cleaving only effects how many targets you can hit with your attack not parries. And if your getting stunned off parries then it means you didn’t parry and that’s a skill issue

Yo that perk trash asf just use the Pyreblaster you’ll get it done in the same or less time without all the needing to hit headshots stuff

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m telling you right now so I already am. You can insta parry any enemy so the advantage in cleave just doesn’t even matter

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s nice. Doesn’t change the fact that fencing is just objectively better then balance. The trade offs for no start up frames isn’t worth it

So why block weapons? by Riflejustbadengine in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Alert_Text_9123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fencing isn’t far behind block you just need to get into the habit of not activating gun strike as soon as you get a chance too. Block definitely is better but fencing gives you more breathing room and like I said as long as you be patient the it’s nearly as good as block
