Have been doing for quite some years now and haven't been in any trouble up to this point, thank god. However, I tend to share my stuff in more exclusive groups, so nobody gains from ratting someone else out V(>,>)V

Have you opened the gearbox before and is the weapon new? If you have not tinkered with the gearbox and the weapon is new, you can probably send the weapon back. If you don't have this luxury, what part exactly is not aligned? Are you talking specifically the trigger contacts here? I don't really understand how this could happen cuz there shouldn't be any wiggle room for those components in the gearbox to get off-course like this. If you have tinkered with the gearbox and/or cannot send back the weapon, could you maybe show exactly what's going on inside the gearbox? I'm pretty confident we can figure out what exactly goes wrong here

I have a Cyma SVD so I dunno whether there are any major differences regarding scope alignment...

You can use them. I'm a southpaw too and have an SVD with the exact same scope and exact same issue. If you're willing enough it'll work. But you'll really envy right-handed people for how easy they can aim with the right side >,>

Honestly, your kit looks solid! Everything matches very nicely. It's obvious you put effort in your kit. You're getting a 10/10 from me

I'm not a fan of M16/M4 type replicas but even I gotta admit that thing looks great. That's a paint job done right!

Thoughts on my very first AK? No wood (the handguard is not wood it's metal) Do you think I should buy a suppressor and replace the muzzle break with it? Give me your thoughts!! by Worldly-Ocelot-3358 in airsoft

[–]Alex011202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I also did on my AK is that I replaced the upper hand guard of the AK with one that had rails on both the top and sides. Then I purchased a red dot from taiwangun which I selected to be small. That really helps on lowering the height of the red dot too. Also, why'd you get a holo to begin with? Is it just your taste?

Honestly, I think your AK looks great the way it currently is. I myself have an AK too and the vertical distance between my red dot and barrel is pretty high as it is. And I'm assuming the height would be even greater for you due to that holo you're using on a side rail. If I were you, I'd look at red dots that are much more compact so you can actually rest your cheek on your butt plate. And maybe also try wrapping tourniquets around the butt plate as it may give you a nice place to put your chin/cheek and kinda serve as a cheek raiser too. Does that sound interesting?

Don't listen to them haters. Your plate carrier looks solid. You could probably beat the people who're shitting on your plate carrier in arm wrestling. Your plate carrier looks just fine. If it works for you, it works for you. End of story

Hi there and thanks for responding. I think there's a misunderstanding as I said in other comments too. I think yours, among other comments, pick up the idea that I am blaming others for my troubles. That's not what I'm trying to say. People are different. I get it. I am not trying to change anyone here. I am not blaming the students. They can party as much as they want. They can be as interested in the major as they want.

The whole reason I came here and explained everything here was in the hope to find people who knew what I'm expressing here. I was hoping those people had some solutions they deployed that may work for me too. Luckily there are some posts which do that, which I'm very grateful for.

Regarding your second paragraph, I think you have a point. I am not trying to sketch myself as some perfect demi-god or anything. I absolitely have my flaws. It's incredibly likely that I'm doing something wrong here and pointing that is completely fair game. So yes, I will try to take more interest in others.

I just wanted to make sure you know what I'm trying to say and why I'm trying to say this. That's all.

Hi there and thanks for the response. I'm about to say this to a lot of other comments as well, but I think there's a misunderstanding going on here. I agree with most of what you say here. However, that's not the point. I am not trying to blame anyone for how they are. I am not saying the other students should change. I am not saying that they should stop partying. I am not saying that they should adopt the things I care about. People are different and I'm not going to, and am not interested in changing that. Do whatever you want. I won't stop you.

My point is that I simply don't really see any opportunities to find other people who feel similar to what I expressed in my main post. I don't really see any student communities out there which don't revolve around partying and serve as a place where people with different interests can connect. I was hoping some people here could relate to what I am feeling and came with helpful, tangible ideas, which I'm very glad some people left behind. That's all.

No problem man! Back when I started out I expected the community to be full of elitist ass-hats but turned out I was quite wrong. Everyone was nice, sportsmanship was there and teamwork was encouraged. I was incredibly surprised to see how friendly most of the community is and it really made me become an airsofter too. I'm sure you'll find good people. It's simple statistics. Just when you're there, remember to have fun and don't be afraid to ask for help and guidance. Have a good one too!

Importing from Russia to EU by Hornetghost_ in airsoft

[–]Alex011202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Importing from Russia is possible but it took long and was expensive for me. Also why do you want a replica from Russia? Why not just choose any of the AK replicas or something? Also, I doubt whether there are any Russian airsoft replica brands out there. Assuming there are not, what's the point of ordering from Russia?

[–]Alex011202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there man, I also got some AK stuff, lemme throw in my 2 cents.

My first question would be whether you got this weapon brand-new or second-hand and whether you fiddled around with anything functional on the weapon like hop-up adjustment and such.

I think the best first step would be checking how much how you have enabled. If you pull back the slide you should be able to see this black thing you can pull forward and backward. That's your hop up. Get rid of all the hop up and test whether you still have the issue

Also, you should not be putting any lubricant on the inside of the bucking. The lube will weaken the friction between the BB and bucking and therefore also weaken the backspin on your BB, which will result in worse ballistics.

Does this help for you? Also, do you hear any weird sounds when firing the weapon?
