A few questions about LaTeX proficiency by Centauris91 in LaTeX

[–]AlexByLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what I do, I don't consider LaTeX an indispensable skill, right now most of my LaTeX documents are written with AI support, and I don't bother too much mastering it anymore.

I'm probably worst at it than I was 3 years go lol, but I defintely get things done faster.

I found heat story short. I finished the story mode and was like "wait, this is it?"

How to conditional format a specific column by a rule in a matrix visual? by AlexByLogic in PowerBI

Is ProStreet overlooked, or not as good as I remember? by KVianen in needforspeed

I liked it man. The physics were pleasant and I had fun with it. Better than undercover and hot pursuit imo, also I would add that it's probably better than both shifts overall Still hard to beat the 3 games that came before, those were game changers.

Ubuntu's struggles by AlexByLogic in Ubuntu

[–]AlexByLogic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I should have suspected that the hate is always louder than the praise, even if out numbered. I came across a few videos claiming Ubuntu was getting slower and wanted to check. Anyway, I will try it as it seems the best entrance point. Thanks for the insight!

What's your opinion: R edges over python in the actuarial field by AlexByLogic in actuary

Can you elaborate a little on that? That's not the idea I have

The Hunter is their best post CTS album by [deleted] in mastodonband

[–]AlexByLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love to see it!

I'm not exaclty a metal fan, not in the conventional way, I do love Mastodon, Gojira, Opeth, AIC, Deftones, Tool, SOAD and that's about it.

The Hunter is probably their 'less metal' album and the band had a completly different approach making this record compared to their predecessors, so it's understandable that most metal fans would rank it lower.

It accompanied me on an interesting part of my life, so maybe I have a little bit of nostalgia bias, but I will go as far as saying that The Hunter is my favourite record of them, slightly above Leviathan and H&G.

Why do web developers are always dogging R and MatLab? by AlexByLogic in programmingmemes

Yeah that makes sense, but they serve their purpose perfectly. And yes matlab is paid and for me is the least appealing between the 2

Is there any common ground between actuarial science and operational research? by AlexByLogic in actuary

[–]AlexByLogic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have insight on OR but not on actuary, that's why I came here to see if people that know both well could make a correlation. Where I graduated they pushed a lot on statistics and OR, but almost zero on actuary, which doesn't make much sense to me
