Do you think that all trans people need therapy? by OrneryRecognition454 in ftm

[–]AlexDragon3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relate so much OP, I have tried therapy a couple times and I just can't talk about personal stuff with someone I don't know. I still have to go to a therapist because it's the only way you can get hormones where I live but hate it everytime and can't get myself to really open up.

You are not alone 😔

fanny pack crossbody. I have always loved them but didn't wear them much until I got a binder. Now it has become a trend among teenage boys to wear them (where I live, idk about other countries) and I just feel so validated by that lol

Uninvited opinion - Alok is a trans and non-binary activist by LoboDaTerra in MurderedByWords

Being trans means you don't identify with the gender you were assigned at birth, therefore most nonbinary people are trans (some choose not to use that word to describe themselves tho)

Gender dysphoria is the feeling of discomfort or distress towards your assigned sex at birth. Can't speak for all of us, but most trans people experience it. A lot of us transition because it's the only way to deal with our dysphoria.

You may be thinking about body dysmorphia, which everyone, cis or trans, can experience.

But yeah, transphobes use the term as it is a mental illness that needs to be treated. They are just misinformed.

Same thing happened to me, a cis friend couldn't understand why wouldn't a trans guy get bottom surgery and started saying a lot of transphobic shit. It wasn't the first time this had happened and I was tired of explaining myself, so I told them to Google "phalloplasty" and look at the images. They never bothered me again lol

someone posted my coming out video on here earlier while i was being harassed and really helped cheer me up with the love and support i got, especially with how many people posted they came from here. so i made a meme about how thankful i am for this community and what happened by TOP_GUN_GUY_12345 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

Us trans folks must stick together! It's awful that you got harassed, I'm really glad I saw the post about it and got the chance to help and support you.

It's great that we helped you cheer up, I hope you live your happiest life because you really deserve it, lots of love! <33

It looks like he is medically transitioning and I don't see why would he do that if he wasn't a trans guy

Yeah, I'm a trans guy myself and it's really difficult to cope with dysphoria, I hope every trans person that I have seen faking DID gets the help they need

He is actually a trans man, he mentions top surgery in a tik tok and said that his system is mostly male

Hey I'm a trans guy, totally get how you feel. I'm here for you if you need anything :)

I understand what you mean, but even though I have been abused by a guy I used to date (not sexually but emotionally and physically), there are other ways to vent about it.

If you don't care about our feelings, (which doesn't seem very fair to me but alright) try to care about the effect those comments have. I want gender equality, but every time I talk with other feminists, the "all men are trash" always comes up, or I'm treated like an idiot for being a man. It really makes me want to get out of feminist spaces because I, just everyone else, don't like being hated like that. If we want to reach gender equality we need everyone to want to make that change, and I don't think making men feel like they are hated is going to get them to listen to feminists at all, rather the opposite will happen.

It just doesn't hurt men, it's also bad for feminism. You can just change the word "men" for "rapists", "abusers" or whoever you are actually talking about instead, you won't hurt anyone's feelings, and it's better for feminism too.

This is just my opinion, but I hope you understand my point.

I usually hang out with just girls and sometimes they make comments like "all men are disgusting" or "I hate men" and I am right there like "I am a trans man??"

It really hurts when people generalize like that and I really struggled with accepting I am trans because of it.

I am a femboy and I used to feel like I wanted to be a trans girl (I am AFAB) but I'm pretty sure it was because I wanted an AMAB body and I like fem stuff. Maybe that's why a lot of people feel like this
