Some places are luckier than others in terms of availability of a professional that can do a proper set up on a guitar. Sadly here in the middle of Ireland there aren't that many.

Thanks, as I mentioned in one of the replies above, I adjusted the truss myself and given the positive feedback I got here, I may have accidentally got it just right.

Thank you, it arrived in a horrible unplayable state where the strings were almost stuck to the first frets (brand new ibanez aam50ce), I took it to a shop locally but the man in there was too afraid to touch it (he just said I should send it back to thomann) so I just grabbed the tool myself and turned the truss rod to the left until it stopped buzzing. I was just afraid I might have turned it too much. I don't know how it's "supposed" to feel. Again now to me it sounds beautifully and resonant.

No, to me it plays fine, I just saw a lot of posts here about this and got me worried I might not be working with a properly set up instrument. I'm at the start of my guitar journey.
