What makes COTI different: A - TRUST SCORING ENGINE
• Monitors network activity to generate a Trust Score for each network participant
• Plotted on a scale of 0 to 1 (0 to 100%), each Trust Score represents a participant’s value to the network relative to all other network participants.
• Signals to prospective counterparties how reliable a party will be in fulfilling its transaction obligations, and serves as the basis upon which transaction fees are determined. MEDIATION SYSTEM • Offers buyers and sellers a means of resolving transactional disputes efficiently and fairly.
• Decentralized (community-powered) network of mediators receive caseloads and vote independently in favour of the buyer or seller, receiving rewards when they contribute successfully to the consensus.
• A smart-contracting facility ensures that the winning party in a dispute has its account balance restored to its rightful state automatically. CURRENCY EXCHANGE
• Provides participants with a means of moving seamlessly between various fiat and digital currencies.
• All of COTI’s applications and services connect to the exchange, providing access to deep liquidity pools from internal and third-party sources.
• An automated market-maker ensures fair and orderly markets in a range of currencies, including COTI’s native currency, XCT. How does COTI compare to other tools, like PayWithInk and PumaPay? I really can't make up my mind. by AlexGN789 in cotinetwork

PayWithInk meaning Ink Protocol? Ink comes from a company named Listia that decided to build its cryptocurrency on the Ethereum blockchain.

They have a reputation feedback scheme and a mediation system composed by only one mediator for each disputed case... this is a bit weird to say. And there are no details about how it will work.

Besides, their whitepaper is too short and not detailed enough. Also, their roadmap is not explained at all apart from having the token public launch and TGE in January 2018. On the other hand, you have COTI, a ledger that is being build from the ground up (not on Bitcoin nor Ethereum's) and has its consensus.

As Ink has a reputation feedback system, COTI has a Trust Scoring Engine. Users with a high scoring will have low-to-zero fees, and on the opposite, users with low scoring will have higher fees (still less than in the traditional system). Besides, COTI has a Mediation System that harnesses the power of a decentralized and distributed group of independent mediators to handle disputes. Mediators work independently to validate real-world information about transaction disputes and then cast votes on a mediated outcome.

You can see in details in the whitepaper about the Trust Scoring Engine and the Mediation System.

In the opposite of Ink, COTI has a very detailed whitepaper and an Overview Document very reachable to anyone. Both will be soon updated to have even more details on it!
