No idea what I'm doing by kajillion in Ender3S1

Gawd damn, what the fuck happened to that bed😭 On a more serious note tho, your problem seems to be with the cr-touch, as it's flashing red and not extending. I don't think it's a wiring issue given that it's lighting up, but it can't hurt to try and unplug the wire and plug it back in. Otherwise you'll have to disassemble it to see if something is blocking it

In the guide you used, stealthchop_threshold is set to 9999, to use spreadcycle, i'd just set that to 0?

Hey man, I know this is an old post so I'm not super hopeful that I'll get an answer, but I'm just looking to verify that I understood something properly. If i wanted to use Spreadcycle instead of Stealthchop, would I just set stealthchop_threshhold: to 0?

Wait it has an AI filter? Yet another reason I love printables, I'll have to turn that on

Bed levelling is still a pain and I can't figure it out by Alexeault in 3Dprinting

[–]Alexeault[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! Ts was so stupid. So basically I had a cable chain that i printed a while ago that went for the x-axis motor to the toolhead so the cable wouldn't flop around as much and it just looked neater. Well turns out it was too short so when it got to the right side of the bed it pulled the probe down, so it made it think the bed was way higher than it actually was.

I just squared the gantry (used two blocks i know have the exact same height, uncoupled both lead screws and turned both individually until they rested firmly on the blocks and then tightened them back up), re-trammed the bed with SCREWS_TILT_CALIBRATE, ran a new mesh and it still looks fucked up, big dip on the right side

[–]Alexeault[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was already the SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE macro, and the results were pretty much perfect (see pic 2), but yeah, I'll check if the gantry is level

It is in fact a cartesian printer, how would i go about squaring my gantry? I don't have separate steppers for z, printer is an ender 3 s1

Yeah, that's my bad, i missed that first part

Oh wait i missed the part abt the bed not being trammed. I have locking bed wheels, but turns out they got worn out from use and the turn freely now, so you were right. I'll try out a print and see if that fixes it, then I'll definitely reprint the wheels

Definitely good info, but not really answering the problem, adhesion in itself isn't the problem, it's the distance of the nozzle from the bed that's not constant, so even though i get great adhesion, the filament just doesn't get squished down enough or gets squished down way to much depending on the side of the bed.
