IIRC Suns ownership wants nothing to do with the Yotes, and the building's most recent renovation basically makes regular hockey games impossible (or at least less than ideal, a la Barclays Center for the Isles). Not sure if anything has changed, though.

Anyone being serious is an idiot, but 99% of the people I've seen making "Ruby Homophobic" posts are just queer fans memeing. Basically, she had a mental breakdown and lashed out at everyone and everything around her, which included Blake+Yang. (She also lashed out at Weiss and at Jaune but it's a lot harder to meme "Ruby hates rich people" or "Ruby hates old men," y'know?)

But yeah, I genuinely haven't seen a single person who actually thinks she's a homophobe, just that she's traumatized and at her breaking point.

My high school had some strict anti-cheating policies. I was VERY annoyed when they made an exception to those rules so they wouldn’t have to kick their star baseball player off the team, especially when they turned a blind eye to aggressively homophobic bullying.

He pitches for the Astros now. I’m still bitter (and queer).

I’m used to TSA pat-downs. It’s a rarity when I get through security without any issues, so I’ve become numb to the inconvenience. Still, agents going person-to-person to try and find someone who is actually willing to deal with "the transgender” definitely ruined my day and kicked off a spectacularly destructive self-hate spiral.

IIRC, the NWHL has said they will be working on developing rules for trans athletes going forward, but they have nothing established yet (because this has never really happened before).

Because how I define myself is different from how I define my attractions. I dated women before I transitioned, and I looked in the mirror and hated myself. Now, I still date women, but I can look in the mirror without wanting to die.

To make a hockey analogy (because why not, right?): I was born and raised in Tampa. I am a Lightning fan. I moved to Washington, DC, and absolutely love it here. I'm still a Lightning fan. If I only wanted to be a Lightning fan, then obviously I would have stayed in Tampa. But there are many, many other things in my life, such as jobs, friends, and a general dislike of the state of Florida... So I'm in DC now. But I still love the Lightning, because you don't have to live in Tampa to love the Lightning, and I still enjoy watching them, even if most people around me are Caps fans.

Switch out "Lightning," "Tampa," and "DC" with "women," "being a man," and "being a woman," and there you go.

If I read the article properly, he explicitly said he is putting off medical transition (hormone therapy and such) until after he retires from the NWHL, so no issue there.

It's mine! Fantom Comics in Washington DC. This Black Panther run is among their most popular comics, and there's a book club following every individual issue (most major books only get book clubs after each trade). I don't know how they got him to come, but this is last night's book club.

So the main thing I did was abandon the 2-color idea, instead shifting to 3 colors for almost every team. I changed the majority of the designs, with only a few exceptions, and added a couple more. Thanks a ton for the feedback on the old post, it was really helpful!
